It's been almost 3 months.  I finally laced up a pair of running shoes and got out the door.  I didn't go far, but it's a good start.

From Eric Day on Mon, Jul 29, 2013 at 09:41:30 from 187.247.64.228

It would be: Mi viejo amigo. Otherwise you are calling me an old guy.

From Tracy on Mon, Jul 29, 2013 at 14:58:39 from 50.103.228.243

Yay, Burt! Hope you lace up those old shoes again this week! Glad to see you blogging again.

Tara - Don't use my own joke on me!

From Tara on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 15:14:28 from 70.208.5.167

From Burt on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 15:44:37 from 71.216.109.214

Tara - would you like mayonnaise on your knuckle sandwich?

Scott - one of these days I need to read about your birthday run. It'll probably be while I'm in my birthday suit.

JD - you son of a $!*@%

From Neasts on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 15:46:37 from 206.81.149.241

Nothing like a new pair of shoes to guilt one into running. :-)

From Scott Wesemann on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 15:47:50 from 66.232.64.4

Now that's a visual I can put my stamp of approval on.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 15:56:06 from 71.216.109.214

Yeah right Sis. Richards. I've had them since June 21st.

From Neasts on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 17:56:38 from 206.81.149.241

You are outing me on these boards! Sis. Neasts will suffice.

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 18:34:42 from 66.69.93.8

Hey new guy. Fast running blog is a great place but watch out for this guy named Burt. He may seem nice buOH MY GOD IT'S YOU BURT! HI! I should've known it was you, since I clicked on your name. Rookie mistake, slowjoe.

From Tara on Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 20:55:01 from 70.208.5.167

Scott- Those smileys made my day. I'm headed over to your blog.

Burt- generally the best success comes when you do more than one day. You're new, it'll come to you. Until then, visit lots if blogs and take in as much information as you can. Before you know it, you'll be toeing the line for your first Ragnar! ( generally a 200ish mile relay team race, look it up.) Give iit time, you' ll get there. Oh yeah, welcome to the blog!!

From artichoke on Wed, Jul 31, 2013 at 08:55:53 from 74.211.14.96

Welcome back, Burt! Hope all goes well.

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Jul 31, 2013 at 15:33:23 from 66.232.64.4

I came back here hoping to see you had made it out two days in a row, but what I am leaving with is remembering the bad visual from yesterday.

Not pleasant.

From Burt on Wed, Jul 31, 2013 at 17:07:11 from 71.216.109.214

Joe - the other rookie mistake you made was to try and warn people about me. That only makes them want to get to know me all the more.

Kara - thanks for the warm welcome. Did I get your name right?

Choke - thanks. Time will tell.

Wesemann - Ok, I posted why I didn't run yesterday just for you.
