My second day of running in these bad boys.

I like them.

It was 40° out today.  Stinkin' cold.  Glad I wore a long sleeve shirt.

My back seems to be doing all right.  I was worried because I took the youth on a snow outing over the weekend.  They were all sledding down this hill.  I figured I needed to do it at least once.  That was dumb.  Do you know what bumping down a hill on a piece of un-cushioned plastic does to your spine?  I do.

Easy on the milage Burt, I've heard you should only increase abot 10% at a time.

From DaleG on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 09:40:20 from 98.202.43.67

Good job and cool shoes. I once hurt my back sledding. Bummer.

IJR - you're killing me today. You're posting what I think. I was thinking to myself that this is way more than a 10% increase, but I convinced myself that that rule doesn't apply to anything under 3 miles :)

Dale - we're not as young as we used to be.

From Rhett on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 14:38:22 from 74.41.239.14

Nice shoes. I ordered up myself a new pair of shoes the other days. I'm anxiously awaiting them.

From Burt on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 15:49:38 from 71.216.109.214

Now we'll all be anxiously awaiting them Rhett. :)

I think the rule only changes for special people :-)

From Tracy on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 15:53:55 from 50.103.229.241

40 degrees sounds pretty warm to me.

From Burt on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 16:16:36 from 71.216.109.214

Tracy - I wore shorts, but still. Stinkin' cold.

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 16:21:53 from 66.232.64.4

Yeah, those shoes are flashy and all, but they don't match any of your running outfits.

From Burt on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 16:28:34 from 71.216.109.214

Duh Scott! That's why I run naked in them!

From PRE on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 20:03:57 from 99.50.213.11

Burt,

Hi. Nice miles. Looking forward to hearing about your next 3.3 mile run!

From Burt on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 20:30:56 from 72.223.86.148

3.4, so I can beat Tracy.

From KP on Wed, Jan 02, 2013 at 21:23:12 from 68.63.200.80

Was in the 40's when I ran today too. Shorts and a l/s shirt were perfect!

Suck it up, Burt.

From Burt on Fri, Jan 04, 2013 at 08:47:47 from 71.216.109.214

Yes there's something wrong there Scott. You don't know how to spell California!

Tara - You really like 'em? Ok, you can have them.

From runningafterbabies on Fri, Jan 04, 2013 at 08:56:00 from 71.195.219.247

Take care of that back! You're not 16 any more.

From Burt on Fri, Jan 04, 2013 at 09:00:17 from 71.216.109.214

You don't need to remind me RAB. The incontinence is reminder enough.
