Today I went running with my Ragnar team at Tempe Town Lake.  We went once around the lake which was about 4.8 miles, but I wanted to get at least 6 miles so I kept going and turned around.  We started out running comfortable together for the first 2 miles.  Then three of us started to pick it up a little while the other two stayed back.  (The whole team didn't come.)

Time - 53:05 (avg. pace 8:41)

Splits - 9:08, 9:08, 8:27, 8:33, 8:42, 8:10, 0:59 for 0.11 (8:33 pace)

I've been trying to get new blogger Coach Cara to make a blog entry.  All I've got out of her so far is this YouTube video showing  her alter egos.  After seeing what a goof she is, I think she's going to fit in nicely with this blog.

:) :) :)

Hope you are enjoying the New Year, Burt!

Nice job on the team run. :)

I'm so sad I'm not doing the Ragnar this year. I'm glad your team run was successful. 5 weeks until I get the okay or no way from my doctor to start running. I'm sure I'll get the okay. :o)

Burt, Feliz Año Nuevo. Mis mejores deseos.

Good luck with your team. I'm sure you will do great.

Good run Burt! Running around a lake sounds nice, I need to try that sometime. Only bad thing is that there's a lot of alligators here.

Teena Marie! I was wondering if that new blog was you. So far so good on the new year. Thanks.

Camille - what's your plan for work? Are you taking any time off with the new baby?

Erico - I like the tilde there. It beats feliz ano nuevo. That could be painful. I tried that joke on the Rocket when it was her birthday. Ella me leyo como un libro.

Vinh - LOL! I don't think there's any alligators around here. The Tempe Town Lake is basically a man made lake (correct me if I'm wrong Camille.) They've dammed up a portion of the Salt River. It's right by ASU, and they're starting to develop around it so that it's a nice community/business type of area.

Burt - I'm taking 12 weeks off. Only 11 weeks left. :o( I don't know what I'm going to do with the girls when I go back though. I hate leaving them. And not knowing who or where I'll be leaving them makes it worse.

And yes, you described Tempe Town Lake the way I would have.
