Q: What do you do when you see a 200 pound man barreling down the sidewalk?

A: You move out of the way as fast as you can!  That's a no-brainer.

Three little brothers and sisters were walking to school this morning.  Cute as buttons.  Dumb as doorknobs.  I kept thinking, "Any second now they're going to move over for me.  Any second.  Hello?  Giant man moving right at you at a high velocity.  Please move.  What are you staring at?  They're not moving."  At the last second I had to dart around them.  The littlest one looked like the little boy on Daddy Day Care.  So cute.  It was hard to stay mad at them.

Time - 24:46 (avg. pace 8:15)

Splits - 8:28, 8:22, 7:58

I'm glad there were no injuries. I can only imagine the headlines.

From Burt on Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 18:36:27 from 68.76.197.194

Britta - Good luck with your move. I'm gonna miss your sporadic blogging.

Carolyn - Clearly they were in awe of me. How many Clydesdales are there that can glide along with my ease?

Rhett - it sounds pretty bad when you say it like that.

Merri - I get it now. Slowpoke blogged right after I did. You goof! I can't wait until Big Legs blogs blogs right after you.

I almost got hit by a bicycle this morning. I guess it's my job to stay out of the way. They dress like Lance Armstrong and they never say hi.

From Burt on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 10:56:34 from 98.167.151.26

Why did I say blogs twice in a row? OCD, I guess.

From Burt on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 11:04:27 from 98.167.151.26

Flatlander - Stay out of the way of the cyclists. LOL! Even I don't like to talk to anyone when I'm on my bike.

From RivertonPaul on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 13:17:07 from 67.42.27.114

You need to remove your cloak of invisibility before running.

From flatlander on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 13:20:49 from 76.31.26.153

Maybe if I was a little faster they wouldn't mistake me for a tree . . . .

From Brent on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 18:18:27 from 76.8.201.223

Harry Potter, AKA Hairy Burt - its good your not a day dream believer, with the beatles. Too funny, some walkers are clueless, 2,3,4 abreast expect runners to have ballet moves. I thought you were going to hurdle the kids? 100 commando points for half back move avoiding the kids. You know, tutus give your the magic power to make those ballet moves.
