It was pretty nice out this morning; under 80ยบ.  A good day to get some serious miles.  Serious for me anyway.  I hopped on the scale this morning.  I was at 196.  Any guesses as to what I was after my run?  Whoever wins gets my new socks that I wore for the first time today.  I won't even wash them.

Time - 1:20:46 (avg. pace 8:35)

Splits - 8:32, 8:33, 8:26, 8:40, 8:43, 8:35, 8:42, 8:33, 8:34, 3:28 for 0.41 (8:25 pace)

Day 57 P90X - Chest and Back/Ab Ripper X - Tony calls this the Mother of all P90X workouts.  Then he turns around and calls Plyometrics the Mother of all P90X workouts.  Anyway, I did 101 push-ups and 96 assisted pull-ups.  I was glad that I was still able to do all my Fifer Scissor Kicks and Mason Twists after taking a week off from Ab Ripper X.

Too tired to write the report ? Good distance though....

From Burt on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 11:44:08 from 68.225.214.248

Ha! No Eric. Just wanted to see if I had any chance of making on the first page of the mileage board. Close. But not quite.

From Scott Wesemann on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 11:46:55 from 66.239.250.209

190 and the grey shirt weighs a whopping 6 lbs.

From Jason McK on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 11:48:52 from 63.255.173.99

Oh - I thought I would go out on a limb and say 191, but Scott went farther out on the limb than me...

From Burt on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 12:24:07 from 206.19.214.144

You're both wrong, but you must really like sweaty socks.

From Jason McK on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 12:27:22 from 63.255.173.99

No, I don't want your socks, I just want to see the postman's face as he delivers the stinky package!

From Nan on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 12:50:23 from 24.8.144.22

189. Better get hydrating now!

On another note, why didn't you warn me? One would logically assume after such productions as Napoeleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, we can expect good things from Jared Hess, right? WRONG. Aaron and I wasted 90 minutes of our lives watching Gentleman Bronocs last weekend. Ouch. Talk about crash and burn.

From ChrisM on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 12:50:37 from 86.180.136.134

185 lbs?

From Burt on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 12:54:19 from 206.19.214.144

Oh so close Nan. I've never heard of that movie Nan. Sorry. Ever since I've been doing P90X I've lost all touch with pop culture. Actually I lost all touch in the 80's as you know. Maybe it will be funnier the second time you watch it.

Chris - nice try. I thought England measured weight in stones.

From ChrisM on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 12:56:33 from 86.180.136.134

at least I saved you money on the postage....

you would be 14 stones in England

From CookieLegs on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 13:20:29 from 155.101.152.105

Nice miles today Burt!

From Burt on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 13:32:10 from 206.19.214.144

Thanks Adele! I'm paying for it now. My back is SORE!

188. I weighed 188 afterwards. I really don't want to send my brand new socks to anyone, so there you go. 8 lbs. lost. Nice, eh?

From mike mcclellan on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 14:51:35 from 75.120.223.59

Thanks Burt!I took a little break after my first attempt at a 50 miler. Then stopped blogging for a while.Looks like you are still going strong...Way to go man!!!!!

From allie on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 17:57:01 from 161.38.218.168

122 pounds. great mileage this morning. great pace, too.

From Marathon Dreamer on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 20:28:02 from 72.105.245.27

Wow Burt! Way to go on the mileage and the pace!!!

From The Quiet Pirate on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 20:29:59 from 65.191.108.72

Great scott! 8 lbs of sweat in under 10 miles? were you wearing plastic?

I think p90x stretching increases your sweat! production

good, consistent paces today

From Burt on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 20:34:50 from 206.19.214.144

Mike - good to see you're well. I remember your report about the blood in the urine. It was around that time Eric Day had blood in his urine, too. Turned out he had something seriously wrong with him and is just now barely able to run again.

allie - no, silly. 122 is you.

MD - That's exactly the pace you need to BQ. :)

From Burt on Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 20:38:35 from 206.19.214.144

QP - Don't you LOVE consistent miles?

From SlowJoe on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 01:04:36 from 214.13.130.104

My guess is 188. Is it 188? That's what I think it is. Great pace and great miles today. I think we're still a few weeks from breaking into the 70s over here.

From Burt on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 01:12:15 from 68.225.214.248

You got it Joe! How did you know? Unfortunately the military will not allow me to ship my socks to you, so I'll have to hang on to them for now.

From Rhett on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 15:04:03 from 74.32.211.152

So how much did you weigh 6 hours later when the water weight came back?

Great run. This nice weather is really making me want to get out there and run.

From RAD on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 17:46:52 from 67.172.229.125

Nice work on those miles with all that p90X-ing you've been doing. Nice AP to match the miles as well.
