I was going to do my 3 mile neighborhood loop again, but when I saw one of the youngsters waiting for the ALA bus I decided to run to the next stop where my boy gets on and see if I could beat the bus there.  That didn't mean I sped up.  In fact I'm sure I slowed down.  But I did get there just as the last couple of kids were boarding.  I was surprised that my boy doesn't have a nice seat with his name on it at the front of the bus.

I saw Fat Slob with Little Dog today.  And I saw one of the desperate housewives with Tall Shaggy.  I did 4 regurlar pull-ups when I got home followed by three reverse close-grip pull-ups.  Maybe my next project will be to post a video of me doing pull-ups.

Time - 29:42 (avg. pace 8:45)

Splits - 8:45, 8:49, 8:43, 3:25 for 0.40 (8:37 pace)

Only 4 pull ups? Whimp! Well, at least you can do pull ups, I really can't and oh how I've tried. :)

From RAD on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 14:25:25 from 67.172.229.125

Nice work! I love the names you give to the regular runners :) I do that when I'm in a race and see the same people a few different times. I don't see enough people consistently around the 'hood to do that here.

From Burt on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:11:01 from 206.19.214.144

Lily - You have done very little this morning to help my self esteem.

RAD - The rule is I have to see them more than once.

From Lily on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:15:46 from 67.199.181.73

What can I do to help your self esteem this afternoon then Burt?

From Burt on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:25:39 from 206.19.214.144

You can start by not calling me a whimp. Telling me you can't do any pull-ups kinda helped, but the damage had been done. :P

Just kidding. I am a big whimp. I'll admit it.

From Lily on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:29:05 from 67.199.181.73

How about I start by letting you know that they do offer surgery for Male breasts. You don't have to just live with it.

From Lily on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:30:12 from 67.199.181.73

LOL totally kidding. I just had to sit back for a minute and laugh a lot. Back to house work and tending to the black eye I gave myself about 30 minutes ago.

From Burt on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:32:44 from 206.19.214.144

My man boobs are my best feature!

From Burt on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:34:35 from 206.19.214.144

Just went on facebook to find out what this black eye thing was all about. Nothing except, "I can tell this is going to be a great day."

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:43:41 from 66.239.250.209

Burt, I would love to see a video of you doing pull ups, as long as you are wearing your tight black shorties, and Rick Astley is nowhere to be found in it. Oh yeah, leave out the Mboobs too.

From Lily on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 15:55:40 from 67.199.181.73

LOL Scott!

Burt I uh...I was laying down on the floor and got up to quick- oops! SLAM ! right into the door jam with my face. Super light headed. I must have low blood sugar. My eye looks lame!

I just knew I was going to jinx myself by writing that on facebook this morning

From Burt on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 16:11:26 from 206.19.214.144

Scott - Ha! Somehow those shorts got all knotted up. I had to throw them away.

Lily - Ouch! Post pictures!

From Brent on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 22:39:32 from 66.7.127.219

Burt - hey, are the handles runners? fun to give runners names. I don't know about fat slob, been there done that. We have a couple of notables: skyman, neathdrthal man, miss pettie, man army.

Stay Kool, B of BS rools out

From seeaprilrun on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 22:44:42 from 72.205.231.223

cool, do the pull-up video, because I'm a little afraid of the yoga video.

From SlowJoe on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 23:39:45 from 184.79.24.255

Right before the first pull-up the video will cut away to "dream on" by aerosmith.

From Lily on Wed, May 05, 2010 at 23:46:42 from 67.199.181.73

No freaking way. I'm not posting pics of the black eye. I'll post a picture of my eye as soon as you post a picture of your FRB manscape.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, May 06, 2010 at 00:56:03 from 75.162.69.51

Now that is funny Lily. :)

Brut- You up for the challenge?

From vinh on Thu, May 06, 2010 at 07:01:45 from 75.77.22.187

You have to do Marine Corps pull ups. Dead hang, fully extend the arms. No kipping =P
