Pu-pu-su challenge

I did my pull-ups first this morning.  I got 4 in.  I didn't think I would be able to do that many with all the weight I've been gaining lately.  We're almost rid of Easter goodies and the leftovers from my brother-in-law's memorial.  (Somebody has to eat it.)

Next I did the sit-ups.  I got 145 in when I started to get the Hershey Squirts.  I finished 5 more for an even 150, then jumped up, and ran to the bathroom.  Luckily I have tight glutes, so I was able to maintain full containment.

Then I did my push-ups.  I only got 20 in.  I think that's less than last week.

Run

After that I went out to do an easy run.  I ran up passed my son's bus stop.  He didn't say anything to me because he knew he was in trouble for taking his scooter.  Then I ran around the Village Loop to the next bus stop.  As I was approaching, one of the kids headed there waved at me.  I asked if he goes to ALA too.  He said yes.  Then he started running and passed me.  So I sped up and told him there was no way he was going to beat me.  (Of course I was just trying to make him run faster.)  He kept going, but I could tell he was tiring out.  All the parents at the bus stop probably freaked  out with me chasing the kid.  LOL!  Actually, I knew them all, so they got a kick out of it.

Can't wait for P90X tonight.  As they say - Bring It!

hurrah for full containment! That is some seriously tight glutes to contain something runny...

From JD on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 11:59:56 from 70.96.78.157

I'm more of a kit-kat guy, never really cared much for hershey's.

From Scott Ensign on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 15:12:35 from 129.123.3.84

good you aren't in need of the depends yet.

From Scott Wesemann on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 15:15:47 from 66.239.250.209

Hershey Squirts, as in??? I don't practice this myself, but I hear that adult diapers work wonders for the hardcore athlete that doesn't want to bother with taking rest stops/breaks. You should giver 'er a go.

Uggghh. I just want to shudder...lol. Reminds me of really hard trail runs..no pun intended..lol. I always feel like an epic failure when I have to pollute nature. Haha.

I should only read your blog when I'm at home because you make me laugh so much... and then my co-workers wonder what I'm doing.

From allie on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 20:56:30 from 67.177.0.102

From Toby on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 22:02:34 from 216.194.124.36

Does Hershey know you are contaminating their name?

From Burt on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 22:42:00 from 206.19.214.144

KP - Just trying to brighten up your Monday morning. Hope it helped. =)

April - I heard that I should work on my tight glutes in case I ever go to prison. Not quite sure why.

JD - Give me a break.

Scott and Scott - Adult diapers may be in my near future.

Sam - Bad arse.

Missy - Don't you mean "soft" run?

Lori - I do apologize. I do not want to get you fired.

allie - I owe you nothing. You read the disclaimer. If anything, you owe me a new pair of pants because after reading what you said, I laughed so hard I wet myself.

Toby - They are my new sponsor.

From missy on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 23:30:34 from 75.162.124.171

I think he owes us all a different brand of uncontaminated candy bars.

From Nan on Mon, Apr 19, 2010 at 23:31:09 from 174.51.250.151

Eating 150 Hershey's and then squirting them out does NOT count as 150 sit-ups.

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Apr 20, 2010 at 13:16:18 from 24.8.167.243

Hershey Squirts and chasing kids. You are out of control.

From Bonnie on Tue, Apr 20, 2010 at 13:21:19 from 64.119.33.134

ick. That graphic is really one I could without Burtie boy! So, when are you moving to Mesa? Why? You are actually closer to me right where you are -- and now I won't be able to wave to you on my way to see John Ball or up to Flagstaff ;-). John's office is in Mesa - we might be headed up that way on Saturday - maybe we will have to meet up for a root beer float.

From Burt on Tue, Apr 20, 2010 at 13:31:31 from 206.19.214.144

Bonnie - The owner of the house we're renting wants to sell. So, since my wife hates being so far away from everyone, we're headed back north. It will be nice. We'll only be about 2 miles from work and a quarter mile from her sister.

Root beer floats sound great. I'm buying. Now I need to go read your blog. I had actually clicked on it, but then went back and checked my email, so you beat me, as usual.

From ChrisM on Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 04:01:07 from 130.88.123.4

Haha nice one Burt!

Are you moving to Black Mesa? That is the place where the computer game half-life is set and there are loads of crazy aliens there. If you know what I am talking about!

From Burt on Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 12:38:47 from 206.19.214.144

I may be a nerd Chris, but I'm not a computer game geek like you and Missy. I will be moving close to Brown Town Mesa. (Did I just say that? That's gonna get me in trouble. Oh, well. Eric's not blogging anymore.)

From missy on Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 16:57:44 from 75.162.124.171

We all know you are a closet Gamer Burt.

You probably also crank some DeathMetal when no one is around. :)
