Since I was such a slacker last week, I cranked out 12 this morning.  All of my splits were pretty even, although I am 99% sure that when I passed the first mile it said 7:56.  When I looked at my splits afterwards it said 8:31.  Maybe Merri's right.  Maybe I do smoke weed.  I must get so high that I don't ever remember doing it.  And who is my pusher?  Maybe I'll never know.  I saw some more runners out this morning and a couple of old ladies (grrrrowlll.)

Time - 1:45:00 (avg. pace 8:45)

Splits - 8:31, 8:32, 8:48, 8:51, 8:45, 8:48, 8:36, 8:41, 8:39, 8:56, 9:02, 8:51

Temp - 76 (why has it been so nice out lately?)

What I said earlier about pot isn't even funny to joke about.  Kids, stay away from drugs.

Happy birthday Lani!

Dang it! I'm not even on the front page of the mileage board. I'm #1 on the 2nd page. Are you kidding me???

From Leandra on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:13:31 from 207.224.207.18

Hey thanks for the birthday shout out! And way to crank out 12 miles. Just think, the more miles you do, the more chances you have of seeing more oldies... should be a pretty good incentive for you. nice job!

From Jason McK on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:25:43 from 63.255.173.99

Burt - Sunday is the first day of the week! You won't top the boards if you don't run Sunday (me neither...)

From ChrisM on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:27:22 from 86.155.205.132

I always enjoy my Sunday mornings at the top of the mileage board, doesn't matter how far I run everyone else is asleep!

From Burt on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:31:16 from 68.76.197.194

Burt - you're so cool.

Leandra - plus by the time I'm done running, I look like and old person.

Jason - I'm banking on the assumption that 60% of the bloggers are Mormon and thus, try to keep the Sabbath Day holy. But, as I'm finding out, some of us have different definitions of the word "holy." LOL.

Chris - that's the ticket. I'll move to England. No wait, I'll move to Russia so I'll be a few time zones ahead of you. Or I'll just keep moving east until eventually I'm a week ahead of everyone.

From seeaprilrun on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:34:17 from 68.102.148.130

Way to crank out the miles. 12 miles didn't even get you front page on the mileage board! Bummer! Perhaps seeing you is the highlight of those old ladies day!

From Steve Piccolo on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:50:31 from 155.100.160.248

Way to start out the week! Nice weather.

From Burt on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:51:33 from 68.76.197.194

April - if I had run 0.04 miles more, I would have made it. :(

From Burt on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:52:51 from 68.76.197.194

Steve - Summer didn't last long this year. It started late and ended early. Or maybe this is the calm before the storm (metaphorically speaking.)

From RivertonPaul on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:53:23 from 67.42.27.114

Way to get back at it.

From sam Dean-Howard on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 15:49:09 from 90.201.147.65

way to go 12 miles, great running, hey I do my long run on sundays so usually I am topping it up, but I would be happy with 2 miles a the moment.

Growwwwlll, love it, I thought the temp 76 I must be smoking weed as at first I thought another old lady hahaha LOL

Great job, now if you could only do it in a consistent every day thing...
