It was snowing today.  It seemed like snow.  The yellow leaves were falling off the Palo Verdes as I ran under them.  At least I think they are Palo Verdes.  I'll have to ask AZDesertMonsoon.  He'll know.  He's pretty awesome like that.

Very nice workouts!!

Don't you know that you are supposed to slow down in construction zones? Fines are bigger in construction zones!!!

Run and bike. Nice.

AWESOME workout! I know of a place call Palos Verdes. It's a peninsula west of Orange County in Southern California, very beautiful place.

I love your new pic. You're in the air! What race was that? VERY COOL!

Smooth - that was from Pat's Run. I'm actually wearing that shirt today for the 2nd time. Casual Friday.

Well, I still have another 17.5 mile bike ride home, so I'm not done yet. Lori, I was reading your blog about the "regulars." I have one regular I see. She's a pretty Japanese lady. I've named her Su Li. She doesn't run, but she walks every morning. Oh, and there is another older lady that usually wears a mask. She wasn't wearing it today. I always say hi to them. Didn't see Su Li today, but the older lady initiated the hi this morning. That was nice. Anyway, there's a story to this. It's just taking me a while to get there. This morning I saw a lot more people on the sidewalk either running or walking than usual. I like seeing people out exercising even if it is on my "turf." When I got home and looked in the mirror, I noticed that the body glide I put on my chest made two very noticeable circles around my nipular region. I hope all the new people were impressed with my sweaty shirt and dry looking nipples. I'm glad Su Li didn't see me.

Nice workout there Burt!!! :)

From montelepsy on Fri, May 01, 2009 at 16:40:45 from 155.85.58.253

You should apply some body glide to your stomach in a curve, that way once you start sweating everyone will know you're friendly. Or sad. I guess it depends on the orientation of the curve.

I think those are actually the Palo Verde blossoms that are falling, not the leaves. Lots of lovely pollen . . .

From Burt on Fri, May 01, 2009 at 17:37:29 from 68.76.197.194

I'm totally doing that next time I wear that shirt, Mike.

I don't know why I was thinking flowers don't grow on trees. "I looked at the window and what did I see..." I learned that in Sunbeams. Good. Maybe I'll get that song in my head instead of Turn, Turn, Turn from Britta's blog.

From JD on Fri, May 01, 2009 at 19:18:19 from 64.65.159.206

Is nipular a word?

I was on a run once where I was getting weird looks from others. I thought it was my hair, or my imagination, but when I got home and looked in the mirror, there was a big spot of blood running from one of my nipular regions down my shirt. It must have looked like I got shot or something.

To answer that question I'll have to go to the source, Montelepsy. He knows all sorts of fun words. And go here for other adventures in areolic mishaps: http://burt-mccumber.fastrunningblog.com/blog--So-much-to-say-today-nbsp-Where-to/01-26-2009.html

Hey Burt great work out, liked the comment faster through the costruction Zone!

and the bike ride awesome. I see the same people sometimes on my runs too, its good I always say hi, to some old man walking in the pine woods, he asked me nearly every day for 2 weeks weres my dog, when I stopped running with the dog, I always replied at home resting! he got the idea in the end.

That's funny...breast pads...

I use bandaids, sometimes I can keep the same pair on for over a week through showers and runs etc. It's puts a lot of romance in my marriage too! LOL!

Just wondering how the run went today!!!! Hehe! (saturday)

From Burt on Sat, May 02, 2009 at 14:39:09 from 98.167.151.26

I'll let you know if my wife ever gets back from yard saling, Britta. I have a course marked out in the San Tan Mts., but it keeps getting hotter and hotter as the day goes on...
