I got up this morning ready to do Sam's challenge.  I had to hop on the internet to read about the correct form for doing the sit-ups.  I've always liked to do the spine-busting, back-tweaking, come all the way up and put your chest to your knees sit-ups.  But for the challenge you are supposed to do a crunchie with a 1 to 2 second isometric hold.  Who has time for that?  So I did them that way, and I hope everyone else who's doing the challenge is doing them that way, too.  Then I did my push-ups.  The website shows the proper form for the push-ups.  It's pretty standard.  I always do my push-ups like that.  Then I attempted my pull-ups, but I was so wiped out from the push-ups that I only did one.  I decided to go out and get my slow 2 miles in, then come back and attempt them again.  I also thought it would be a good idea to not have any extra weight on me when I did them, so I did them in the buff.  Afterwards I realized I can't continue to do them like that because you're supposed to YouTube yourself at the end of the challenge.

Sit-ups - 110

Push-ups - 22

Pull-ups - 3

Run time - 17:49 (avg. pace 8:55)

Splits - 8:54, 8:55

In other news, everyone should express to Eric Day their condolonces for the news the doctor's gave him not to run anymore.

Also, everyone should congratulate April on her recent victory in the Abilene Eisenhower Marathon.

I'm going to stick to eating crunchies

Seriously though, this running minus clothes is saving me a fortune on cleaning bills and plus if it rains I just take my shower gel with me and wash on the run. What a timesaver!

Good idea. I wish it rained more here.
