At 6:30AM this morning it was already 90°.  Ay yi yi.  Well, I plan on running tomorrow with my buddy Brad.  He hates running.  But he's getting too old for basketball.  We used to go play early morning basketball three days a week.  That's what got me into running.  Too many churchball injuries.  Anyway, we're gonna go at 5:00AM.  Hopefully it will be a little cooler.

This was also the second time I've noticed that it actually cooled down after I was done running.  It was 88°.  I have two theories on that.  First, and probably not correct, once the sun breaks the horizon and the actual rays start hitting the 'cooler" air that's been sitting there, the warm air starts to move the cool air thus creating a bit of a breeze.  That's my theory anyway.  I'll do more scientific testing on it later.  Second, and more likely, I have my thermometer sitting underneath my front porch.  When the sun breaks the horizon, the direct rays shine right on it.  Once the sun rises, the thermometer is covered by the shade.

Has anyone noticed that I've been using a single apostrophe to start my quotes and a double apostrophe to end them?  It's in honor of Leandra who's missing at least one finger, maybe more.  That's how she does her air quotes.

I don't think it's nice to make fun of people who have been involved in piracy accidents.

Nice job on the hot run and good luck with that testing!

From Burt on Tue, Aug 02, 2011 at 14:52:59 from 206.19.214.144

I don't either. There are many more reasons to make fun of people. Lost digits are not one of them.

From Burt on Tue, Aug 02, 2011 at 14:55:44 from 206.19.214.144

BTW RAD, I think you ran faster than me today.

From Merri on Tue, Aug 02, 2011 at 15:30:30 from 160.7.252.148

Poor lanner fanner. btw a poker pass has been reserved for you.

From Burt on Tue, Aug 02, 2011 at 15:47:17 from 206.19.214.144

Puh puh puh poker face. You gotta know when to hold 'em.

From DaleG on Wed, Aug 03, 2011 at 02:27:59 from 152.216.11.5

I am appalled and sickened that you would make fun of someone with missing digits. How could you? Why would you? I come here to read about your running and all you can do is make fun of someone. The nerve!!! I'm totally kidding, of course. Ha ha!!! Did I make you nervous?

Nice run in the heat. I like the first theory on the temperature drop after the sun rises. Although, the second theory is probably more accurate. Have fun on your 5 am run, with no sun.

From Burt on Wed, Aug 03, 2011 at 09:53:53 from 72.223.91.148

I might be nervous if I didn't get your sense of humor.

It was weird finishing my run before the sun came up.

From DaleG on Wed, Aug 03, 2011 at 11:15:02 from 173.150.62.146

I bet It felt good getting done before sunrise. I don't think I have ever done that.

From Burt on Wed, Aug 03, 2011 at 11:56:25 from 206.19.214.144

That's because you work the night shift.

From Leandra on Wed, Aug 03, 2011 at 16:08:35 from 97.117.112.167

It's so nice to have friends that are so supportive of my 'missing" fingers.

From Burt on Wed, Aug 03, 2011 at 16:10:04 from 206.19.214.144

I'm gonna find those fingers some day. I promise you Leandra!

Nice air quotes.

Burt I support your theory on the heat!

From Burt on Fri, Aug 05, 2011 at 02:14:16 from 72.223.91.148

Yes! See, I'm not as dumb as you all say I am. That's right Dale. Merri. RAD. What now?
