After more than a week of no running I'm disappointed that my hamstring doesn't feel any better.  It's not any worse either, but pooey!  It was beautiful out though.  It was 49° when I started and 58° when I got home.  At the bus stop one lady said, "It's a beautiful day for it."  It's a beautiful day for what, lady?  Huh?

That video is amazing. Thanks for sharing that.

Have you used compression on the hamstring? That strategy has really worked well for Andrea.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 07, 2011 at 12:26:45 from 174.255.242.208

I was thinking about that today but I'm not sure what to use.

Check this blog out that Andrea wrote. She pretty much saved her marathon by doing all this stuff:

Cool video! It sucks that you're injured. You've got great running weather down there right now.

Great day for catching the bus. Duh.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 07, 2011 at 13:25:38 from 68.14.209.26

Thanks Jake. Looks like I was doing all the wrong things. Not sure if I can pull my compression sleeves all the way up my leg, but I'll try.

Chad - Well, maybe if the bus was a convertible.

From Claudio on Mon, Nov 07, 2011 at 15:22:21 from 216.99.185.50

Loved that video. Sorry about the hamstring pain. Not sure if that's your case, but if tightness is the problem, I found much relief using "the stick" and a foam roller.

From RAD on Mon, Nov 07, 2011 at 16:42:52 from 98.202.23.178

Oh, she just wanted to run with you Burt. She's totally jealous! :)

I love the desert, too!!! Cool video.

Sorry about the hamstring not getting any better.

From Burt on Tue, Nov 08, 2011 at 16:28:30 from 68.14.209.26

Claudio - thanks.

RAD - She didn't look like the running type.

Dale - wanna trade hammies?

From Merri on Wed, Nov 09, 2011 at 22:51:43 from 160.7.252.148

From Tara on Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 15:25:16 from 75.169.159.43

That post is offensive, no, I guess not. Oh but my name missing from the left column is. Fix that. Thanks.

From ACorn on Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 15:51:28 from 24.2.76.146

Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose.

Burt, leave the old crazies alone.

From Burt on Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 15:58:12 from 68.14.209.26

Merri - Do you think she was flirting with me?

Tara - give me your password so I can fix your blog.

ACorn - I guess it's true what they say...

From auntieem on Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 16:11:25 from 71.197.255.236

Sorry about the hammie. What a drag it is getting old....

From Tara on Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 20:08:11 from 75.169.159.43

Burt- You need to be the bigger person and stop this fight. Put my name on that left column this instant or Kam will put you in time out;) BTW, my password is...BURT. Don't tell anyone.

Give time to heal and be patient. Retreat, is not always bad. You will come back even stronger.
