Welcome to my snoozefest of a blog.  I hoped so desperately that something exciting would happen today on my run, but nothing did.  I started to think that I'm going to have to create my own excitement.  But I just don't have it in me anymore.  I'm old Gandalf.   I know I don't look it, but I'm beginning to feel it in my heart. I feel... thin. Sort of stretched, like... butter scraped over too much bread.

Emily is starting to get sick.  She had a rough night last night.  She had an accident at 1am, which I had to take care of even though she wanted her mommy to.  Then she had another accident and started throwing up later.  But when I got up this morning at 5:30am, I didn't feel sleep deprived.  So, that was good.  However, I had the runs.  I tried to take care of it, but as soon as I started putting my running socks on, the runs became the squirts.  So back to the drawing board.  And by drawing board I mean toilet.  Oh.  You knew that?  Finally I was ready to run.  I was hoping to go 5.4 miles, but my back started hurting, so I cut it short.  Then I got ready for work and decided to ride my bike since I didn't have to put Emily on the bus.  9.25 miles at 13.4 mph.  Shoulda left 10 minutes before than what I did, but oh well.

My back really started to hurt during the day.  I was really hoping my bike ride home wouldn't aggravate it more.  9.75 miles home, cuz I take a different route.  I think it did loosen up my back some.  I tried out my new TENS unit for the first time and iced my back.  I feel better now, but should probably take tomorrow off from running.  :(

9.25 miles on the bike to work.  I left my Garmin at work yesterday after turning it on to locate satellites.  Fortunately it was still there.  Unfortunately its battery is dead.  Also, unfortunately I left my keys at home today thinking I wouldn't need them because I'm not driving.  However, I do need to get into my office.  Fortunately there is a spare key up front.  Fortunately I got to ride my bike to work today.  Unfortunately that means Emily is still sick.  I think I could make a fortune telling people their fortunes.  Or unfortunes.

9.75 miles home.  I felt good, but my back gradually seized up, and I want to cry like a baby.

Well, Marathon Dreamer is going to run in the Javelina Jundred Saturday/Sunday, and I was going to pace her for one of her 6 loops.  Sadly, I had to call her and say there's no way I can do it.  My back hurts so bad right now.  I went to the chiropractor this morning, and it feels a little better.  Dag nabbit!
