I got my first high five of the season from a "Lady" Liberty.  He was no Brittney Wojtaszek, but I could tell he loves freedom by his awesome dance moves and air guitar skills.  At first he moved way over off the sidewalk to let me run by, but I motioned him back.

It was so cold this morning.  40°.  Luckily I'm fat and my body has to work overtime to keep me in motion.  So I warm up pretty fast.

I didn't know it was possible to sweat that much when it's 60° out.  I took a different route than normal so I could run by Javelina Avenue.  I know how much Bonnie and allie love javelinas.

I saw a former Ragnar teammate of mine when I turned back onto the canal.  She just had a baby two months ago.  Then I stopped at the magic water fountain for a refreshing drink.

Currently I'm on two Ragnar teams.  I invited all of them to join me on a run up Usery Pass.  Nobody could make it.  Granted, half my So Cal team lives in CA, and half my Del Sol team had races, but I think it comes down to them being scared.  Scared of the hill.  Scared of me.  Who knows.  Luckily my neighbor Mike King that lives right behind me had planned to go, also.  So I went with him and a handful of people on his team, which included Bishop, his wife, his son, Jacob Wright from our ward, his brother, and one other lady that was unrecognizable under her beanie.

Me, Mike, and Bishop's son, Tyler started out running together.  I didn't even think to bring a headlamp, and it was dark.  I stuck close to Tyler since he had one.  After two miles Mike and I started putting some distance between Tyler.  After three miles I started to distance myself from Mike a bit.  He was only about 20 feet behind me.  So I waited for him when I turned around at the top.  Then I left him in the dust.  This was the best run I've had in some time.
