Today is Emily's birthday.

So, I stayed home from work yesterday because I was sick.  Maybe I'm getting pneumonia or something.  I also have been trying to lose weight for the whole month of January by being on a diet.  I lost about 7 lbs., but it seems like it's not coming off as fast as it used to.  I think I'm going through "the change."  So I mentioned to my wife that I should maybe use some fat burners.  She got me a bottle of Hydroxycut.  The bad thing is, it says that one pill has the same amount of caffeine as two cups of coffee.  You're looking at a guy who maybe drinks a Barq's Root Beer once every two years.  But I took the recommended dosage yesterday; one pill at 6:15am, one pill at 11:30 am, and one pill at 5:30pm.  I was up until 4am this morning!  I think it was a combination of the caffeine and being sick.  Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Happy birthday, Emily! Love the picture.

I have no thoughts about the hydroxycut, but it sounds scary. Also, if you are going through "the change," don't let them put you on estrogen. It might solve the problem with hot flashes and what not, but you could get estrogen-dependent breast cancer.

Oh, yeah. And I hope you feel better soon.

Happy Birthday to Emily!

As for hydroxycut, I wouldn't recommend using it, especially if you rarely have caffeine. Or at least skip the last dose at 5:30 pm.

The weight will come off, just be patient. That's what I keep telling myself.

I did skip the 5:30pm dosage and plan on doing that. I already feel better :)

Cool

Happy birthday to Emily! My vote is to stay with running and watching the calories.

Cute picture! Kids are always happy when cake is involved. Happy birthday to Emily.

Tracy beat me to the punch on my comment idea, and I can't top it, so I guess I will leave it there. Disappointed to only be able to say positive things, but I'll be back...

Eat the whole cake with the hydroxycut, that way it dilutes the effects of the caffeine, then as soon as you are finished with the cake, and eating the extra icing go sprint as hard as you can for 1 mile, then problem solved.

Hope that helps.

Rob - I can never tell if you're joking. Then I remember, Rob never jokes. I will take your advice!

From The Quiet Pirate on Sun, Feb 09, 2014 at 18:39:20 from 184.3.231.210

I had no idea you could get that much caffeine in a pill dose. I could save hundreds of dollars on diet coke.

Emily is so cute. I love the polka dot candle and the princess plate. I want a princess plate. Is there a pirate princess I don't know about? Other than me?

Glad you're feeling better.

From Tara on Wed, Feb 12, 2014 at 10:22:55 from 75.169.138.236

It's Tara.

Happy Birthday to your cute girl:)

Because we're fake friends,I think you should know that it sounds like a dangerous, short term fix without lasting effects, except on your health. Also, "the change" sounds just as scary. Let me know when your voice drops.

PS. My tone is completely nice in this message, since I know it can be hard to tell in writing. I'm always nice.

I'm bored with this blog entry. Please update!

From Rhett on Fri, Feb 14, 2014 at 14:16:58 from 24.121.0.8

You probably would get the same benefits of the hydroxycut by drinking a diet Dew every time you got hungry and wouldn't get quite as messed up by it.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Feb 16, 2014 at 07:37:59 from 70.199.130.13

Double the hydroxycut and wash 'em down with barqs or some black coffee. Throw away your car keys and run to work everyday.

PS You have the cutest kid on the planet! :)

From Burt on Wed, Feb 19, 2014 at 15:09:49 from 71.216.109.214

QP - You are a princess. Of death. I actually am not feeling better, but thanks for thinking I was.

Tara - you are the meanest person in the world. Behind you is Kim-Jong-il.

Rob - Will you be my neighbor in Farmville?

Rhett - hold on. I need to go re-read the Word of Wisdom.

RT - She really is the cutest :)

From Rob on Wed, Feb 19, 2014 at 19:23:43 from 204.15.86.95

Crossing social media platforms is not aloud Burt.

Did I get my point across or do people just think I hate FarmVille?

From Steve Piccolo on Wed, Feb 19, 2014 at 19:33:52 from 198.217.127.216

Kim jong il is dead.
