My crummy hamstring is still giving me issues.  I can run.  But not fast.  I had to stop three times before the first mile.  And three times after that.

Right before I started to run I saw a rat-like creature run across the road.  It was a chihuahua or something.  I ran down the street, and there were three of them.  Two of them started yapping at me.  I stopped and paused my Garmin.  I squatted down and motioned for them to come over to me.  The two yappers wouldn't, but the baby one did.  Right as it got to me the owners pulled up in their green minivan.  The man honked the horn like the dogs would actually know that was the trigger to go back inside the yard.  I scooped up the baby and brought it over to the lady owner.  She was a Mexican gal.  She said, "Dat di daddy.  Dat di mommy.  Dis di baby."  It was real cute.

On the way back I noticed one of my neighbors had their Halloween decorations out.  They had some hand made gravestones.  Now I'm wondering if I should go tell them that they spelled the word 'they're' wrong.

Avg. pace - 9:07

no, just correct it in the middle of the night :) I'm good with the passive-agressive solutions!

Nice job running and almost stealing 'di baby'

That's not a bad idea RAD. You always know just what to say.

Its not you're business that there grammar aint grate.

Nice run, take care of that hamstring.

From Burt on Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at 16:11:46 from 68.14.209.26

I'll be correcting that one in the middle of the night.

How do I take care of my hamstring? Foam roll it? Stretch it? Don't stretch it? Light stretch? Ice? Heat? Throw me a frickin' bone.

From ACorn on Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at 16:36:09 from 24.2.76.146

Use Cold Therapy (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate) technique

Use a compression bandage to minimize intra muscular bleeding.

Early mobilization of the injured lower limb is vital for the correct rehabilitation of the muscle. This includes stretching and strengthening exercises throughout the pain free range. These can aid with decreasing the swelling in the area. In addition, exercise will ensure that any new material will be laid down in correct orientation thus reducing the risk of subsequent injuries.

Glad you didn't get into it with the chihuahua owners, they can be dangerous.

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at 17:46:33 from 71.219.90.3

HEY, a new photo. Nice. Sorry about the hamstring, maybe basketball was not a good idea! B-ball hurts.

From Burt on Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at 20:56:41 from 68.14.209.26

Thanks Adam.

Flat - Not the women. Just the abusive husbands.

Kelli - Did you notice who's in the picture with me?

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at 22:54:17 from 71.219.90.3

That would be one Mr Flatlander I believe.

What race is this? It is in the DIRT.

From Burt on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 00:12:17 from 72.223.91.148

Very nice Kelli. And I'm glad you got it without me having to give you this hint: He commented right before you. :)

That race was London's Run. It's almost all on dirt farm roads. It smells lovely. And next year is the last time they're doing it, so you better sign up.

From Kelli on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 09:39:06 from 71.219.90.3

The orange shirt gave it away.

I though that race went over a bridge?

From SlowJoe on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 10:46:52 from 132.3.53.68

Nice guy. I was chased by a pack of 5 or 6 miniature schnauzer puppies once and it took all my willpower not to punt every one of them. Plus, why was it so easy for them to keep up with me? They were tiny...

Anyway, nice running post-Ragnar - hope the hammy issue dies down as you recover.

I hold the bridge pose...helps with Jammie tightness

From april27 on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 22:04:12 from 74.248.203.124

Damn you auto correct! Hammie! Not Jammie!

From Steam8 on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 22:06:17 from 166.70.55.77

Your running always involves some kind of animal or another! ha! Sorry your hammie is bother you! I hope after a day or two it will be feeling back to normal!

From Burt on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 22:13:45 from 72.223.91.148

Kelli - The Havasu Half Marathon went over the LONDON bridge :)

Joe - Did you punt Baxter? That's how I roll.

April - Why are your jammies so tight? hee hee!

Steam - it's been bothering me all summer. It would be a miracle if it got better. But you said feeling normal. And normal is painful. So yes, it will.

From Burt on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 22:15:19 from 72.223.91.148

Merri - sorry to ignore you. I just don't understand your ghetto rap talk.

From Steam8 on Fri, Oct 28, 2011 at 22:21:10 from 166.70.55.77

Haha! Sorry Burty! :(
