Last night I was up until 1:30am, hmm...I guess that wasn't last night, but this morning rather...writing a talk for the memorial service my sister is having for her late husband and then translating it into Spanish.  I was upset that I missed my P90X workout, but at least the Suns beat the dirty Spurs.  I thought I would have to double up my workouts today, but I slept in.  So I was upset again, but at least the Suns beat the dirty Spurs.  Did I say that already?  Then I remembered a little thing called running.  Oh, I should run!  So I geared up and headed out very slowly.  I think my heart rate got higher during my warm-up than my actual run.

Time - 19:19 (avg. pace 9:33)

Splits - 1 mile - 9:24, 1.02 miles - 9:56

I hate the dirty Spurs.

well, how'd ya feel? (said in my southern accent)

did your hammy hurt?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 11:30:12 from 24.8.167.243

Maybe someone needs to wash them spurs.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 11:30:50 from 66.239.250.209

The Spurs are the most dirty team in the NBA. FLOP!

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 12:40:21 from 206.19.214.144

KP - I feel pretty good. Actually I feel great. But like I said, I took it so slow that it was kimpossible (typo inteded) for me to hurt at all..

Carolyn - I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. Unless the end of that pole was covered in spikes, wrapped in barbed wire, dipped in poison, and had 10,000 volts of electricity running through it and I was swinging it violently.

What was April saying about violence the other day. I wasn't really paying attention.

Scott - You're my new best friend. LOL! Now about them Jazz. They're a quality team. But Boozer has always rubbed me the wrong way. Ever since he left the Cavs high and dry? What was that all about? And why doesn't he just change his last name?

echo...

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 12:43:04 from 206.19.214.144

Sorry about the double post. I'll fix that later.

From KP on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 12:52:43 from 65.208.22.26

ha! that is the greatest typo. i'll have to remember that one!

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:03:08 from 206.19.214.144

Do you like how I apologized about the repeat 4 seconds slower than Nevels made his smart alleck remark. LOL!

From Nevels on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:04:38 from 131.204.15.93

me... a smart alleck...? never....

From KP on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:06:54 from 65.208.22.26

I'm gonna side with Burt on this one.

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:08:54 from 206.19.214.144

What is it with me and forgetting my question marks lately? (Glad I remembered that one.)

From KP on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:15:20 from 65.208.22.26

Hey Nevels, I've got a stats test tonight. How do I work this one?

Arrivals at the local campus coffee shop have been found to be poisson distributed with a mean of 3.0 potential customers per hour. If X is the number of arrivals during the given hour, determine the following: (show all work using the formula) *what formula????* - can you tell i'm prepared?

a. E(X)

B. P(x = 2)

C. P(2≤X≤3)

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:19:22 from 206.19.214.144

You need to ask Bonnie. She is a statistician. And she's awesome. However, she probably won't help you because it's so basic, you should know how to do it.

From KP on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 13:22:11 from 65.208.22.26

I see.... so basic. Hmm.

Is b. 0.2241? If not, I'm screwed. I still gotta figure out how to do the other two as well.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 15:45:10 from 66.239.250.209

Yeah Burt, I am a Jazz fan, but I also like the Suns. I am a big Nash fan. Boozer isn't my favorite, but he is having a pretty good year. I think the last game between the Jazz/Suns should be a good one.

As for the Spurs: Ginobili and Parker are the best in the NBA at driving into the lane, creating contact and then flopping to get to the line. What is most irritating is that the refs fall for it about 85% of the time.

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 15:48:24 from 206.19.214.144

I know. It's ridiculous. That's not basketball. How can they live with themselves when they win a championship by whining and flopping their way to it. GRRR!! Don't get me started.

From Samantha Dean-Howard on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 16:45:44 from 90.201.147.206

i would also like it if the jazz swept the suns in the first round.

From KP on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 17:53:57 from 65.208.22.26

You like Tiger Woods?!?!?

(I do too)

Did you see his new Nike commercial today? I didn't really like it.

From Burt on Thu, Apr 08, 2010 at 18:19:06 from 206.19.214.144

allie - you're not my best friend anymore.

From allie on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 19:12:14 from 161.38.218.168

i really like the spurs.

From Burt on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 19:16:50 from 206.19.214.144

You are now my mortal enemy.
