I went to Glen the Gazelle's house this morning at 6:30am.  Then we went to my favorite run up Usery Pass.  We saw another truck parked where we normally park with a Ragnar sticker on its window.  We figured another runner must be out running up the only hill within 50 miles of us.  Little did I know that it was my neighbor that lives directly behind me, Mike King.  I saw him running back down at about mile 2. Next time we'll plan better so that we can carpool.

I wanted to see which of my new Apps worked the best at measuring my run.  So I ran Endomondo and Runkeeper at the same time.  The results were fantastic.  According to Runkeeper, I ran 18.32 miles at a 4:21 pace.  Endomondo said I ran 13.98 6:28 miles at a 6:28 pace.  I think I like Runkeeper's results better.

Nice run.

Hi LEANDRA!!! Don't mess with TEXAS!

From Burt on Sat, Jan 07, 2012 at 18:11:28 from 72.223.93.131

If you're gonna play in Texas, you've gotta have a fiddle in the band.

Definitely go with runkeeper. 13.98 at a 6:28 pace is just embarrassing. You are better than that.

From Dan on Sat, Jan 07, 2012 at 21:53:17 from 141.0.10.216

Joe said it, don't publish embarrassing results, clearly you are headed for sub 4! Good run.

Clearly I have not been blogging as often as I should be. Incredible growth on your part Burt! Fantastic.

From Burt on Sun, Jan 08, 2012 at 15:59:58 from 72.223.93.131

Joe and Dan - your confidence in me is enough to get that world record I am shooting for.

PRE - By incredible growth, do you mean the extra 10 lbs I gained over the holidays?

From PRE on Sun, Jan 08, 2012 at 18:10:59 from 99.50.213.11

Well given your amazing speed of late, that ten pounds must be pure muscle.

you never fail to amaze and impress me. But then I am easily impressed when it comes to men running so fast they look like streaks rolling down the hill.

I am loving Runkeeper! Can I borrow that for my next marathon?
