I went for a run this evening in my new shorts and shoes.  I may not be fast, but I was styling.  The shoes felt good, but I started to notice some pain on top of my foot after a while.  Was it the shoes or the fact that I haven't been running much lately?  Time will tell.  No Garmin.  My rubber handle has split, so I'll have to get that replaced.

In other news, I recently was asked to vote on the best marathon medals of 2011.  Apparently, some guy named Frank Shorter was asked to be on the voting panel, but he never got back to them.  As usual, I stepped in at the last second to save the day.

ha ha ... You could come in a close second to someone worse ;-).

You might have tied your laces too tight ... Are your new shorts actually short?

Nice running streak Burt!

Yeah, nice streaking Burt.. I mean running streak.

I'm guessing you've got sympathy pains for RAD and her foot injury. Or maybe it's the pins in the voo-doo doll. Hard to say for sure.

Ever since I found out who Frank Shorter is (1 minute ago), I've known "Burt" was just a pseudonym for Frank Shorter.

How bout an autographed picture?

From Burt on Tue, Dec 27, 2011 at 21:30:24 from 72.223.93.131

Bonnie - I'll send you a private picture message.

QP - I even ran this morning, but I haven't blogged yet. Now stop tickling my voodoo doll when I'm trying to sleep!

Joe - isn't it enough that you're on my favorite's list?

Burt... All the crap you give me about Jack Bauer and you two have so much in common. Jack saves the country when there is no one else around. Then we have you Burt, the beloved blogger, who on a moments notice can save the running world! You just don't have that Jack look down. Think of running in the bright sun with snow on the ground, that should help you squint.

From Burt on Wed, Dec 28, 2011 at 02:09:37 from 72.223.93.131

Karen? What the heck are you doing here? ;)

I cannot tell you the winner for I have been sworn to secrecy.

Rye - just ask yourself, who would win in a fight between Jack and Chuck Norris.
