I felt a lot better than last night.  It was 83° out and actually felt pretty good.  Lately I've been running with my new QuickGrip Camelback® just to practice running with it.  I plan on carrying it with me on my Ragnar legs.  But I didn't bring it today.  So I stopped at the magic water fountain and there was a guy fishing in the canal.  I think you're allowed to fish in that canal, but you aren't in the RWCD canal which is two canals over.  At mile 4 I stopped at the corner gas station to blow my nose and get a drink.  When I went in the stall it looked like the toilet had been used 5 times without flushing.  Oh my gosh, it was so nasty!  It was like a porta potty.  So I left as soon as I entered.  But when I got to mile 5, I started thinking about it again and started dry heaving.

Time - 48:57 (avg. pace 9:04)

Splits - 8:51, 8:54, 9:09, 9:18, 9:01, 3:45

running always helps those stomach issues manifest just a little more clearly.

Nice job on keeping up those miles Burt!

The worst toilet I ever saw was in Israel on a study abroad, a rest stop type place. The toilet was so covered in feces I couldn't imagine how I would ever be able to squat over it without gettig dirty. I opted to use the stall with the hole in the ground. No toilet, just a hole. They have those in foreign countries.

I would have puked. Nasty.

RAD - 15 miles on the week. I'm doing great. LOL.

Julie - Now I know why you always get hurt going to the bathroom.

JoJoBird - You're not pregnant again, are you? Because then you would have for sure.

Nasty!!!

The worst toilet I ever saw was in Wendover in one of the casino's. The toilet was filled to the brim with you know what and it was smeared all over the floor, ceiling and walls of the stall. It DID make me throw up right after I bolted out of there. Disgusting!!!

Nice run, Burt.

From ACorn on Fri, Oct 14, 2011 at 13:56:51 from 68.66.168.22

If I did something like that to a toilet I would at least smear an apology in the feces I left behind.

allie - The gas station was not a Maverick.

Dale - I guess someone had to bend over in Wendover.

ACorn - you're so polite.

auntieem and Leandra - you two are too girly.

Ha Ha Burt, I don't have to squat over my own toilets!
