Well, I'll have that song stuck in my head the rest of the day.

From Oreo on Mon, Jul 27, 2009 at 14:08:47 from 67.128.137.180

Nice ride... I've been tempted to venture into biker land...

From auntieem on Mon, Jul 27, 2009 at 15:59:41 from 67.182.145.8

Nice ride! Don't you just love bikes? I am not riding much this week because I've got a race Saturday, and am just slogging out slow miles this week - sigh. Maybe a tiny ride tomorrow.

I am imagining the prairie dogs squished - by cars. Icky thought.

Burt, thanks for the Clydesdale cheer! We are soul Brothers. I am actually on my way out of that division. Hoping to be in the 170's by STG. I ran Des News at exactly 200.1, fully dressed and water logged.

From Burt on Mon, Jul 27, 2009 at 23:19:02 from 98.167.151.26

Oreo - Biking is awesome. There's nothing like screaming down a mountain at 30+ mph.

Auntie Em - I usually see a few squished ones. Today on the way home I saw a little yellow snake that looked like it was dead. But I've never heard of a yellow snake, so I believe it must have been a toy :)

Mike - When I weigh myself (in the buff) before I go running I'm usually 200 or a few pounds over, but after the run I lose 4 to 6 lbs.

From Teena on Mon, Jul 27, 2009 at 23:59:14 from 67.177.20.13

Nice job on the two workouts!!!

From Lyns on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 10:27:47 from 75.162.204.173

110 degrees and you are still out there. You my friend are dedicated.

I have to admit I was hesitate about you commenting on my blog at first because I had NO idea who you were. For all I know you could be some crazy creepy guy running the same trail that I do. Every time I would pass a guy I would say in my head, "hello burt" in a weird accent. But now that I see you are counting prairie dogs I KNOW we are not in the same state. So I am sorry that I thought you were crazy. Good job on the biking!

Nice heat training.

From marion on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 15:08:09 from 71.213.106.139

Burt is CRAZY!!! Even from AZ, he is crazy ;)

Burt- do you ride a street bike? My 10 miles is SO slow on my mountain bike. :( I don't want to by a street bike for my tri. Are you training for a tri or just biking for the "coolness" of it ;)

From Burt on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 15:15:21 from 68.76.197.194

Teena - Thanks. It's really just a nice ride to work, then try to push it harder on the way home.

Lyns - We'll see how I'm doing when it gets up to 117 and beyond.

Chizel - Don't get me wrong. I am that creepy guy you see. Maybe not in person, but that's me.

Paul - Thanks. It's not that hot until I stop.

Marion - I'm trying to convince my wife to team up with me and do a tri in November. I'll have her do the swim, and I'll do the bike and run. I think she's going to do it.

From Bonnie on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 15:20:24 from 128.196.228.134

You didn't mention one Bonnie as she drove through the Queen's Creek area yesterday and waved to you (it was hot in the car too, we had to turn off the air conditioning because the car engine was threatening to overheat -- that Phoenix Valley drive does it every time!!!).

From marion on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 15:26:59 from 71.213.106.139

That will be fun for you and your wife. My husband won't do one with me, although if he did the swim, he'd rock at it. He still has some of his youthful swimmer star in him ;)

From Burt on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 15:45:24 from 68.76.197.194

Bonnie - first of all, when you see me, you don't wave. You honk. I tell everyone I expect them to honk at me. Second of all, if you really did see me and didn't stop, I'm going to be mad.

From allie on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 23:00:18 from 208.110.151.113

athlinks! (this is code. see if you can crack it)

From Burt on Wed, Jul 29, 2009 at 01:42:24 from 98.167.151.26

Allie - cracked it. You're so funny.
