I'm not going to lie to you.  My first run back in over a month of no running was difficult.  Wait, that was a lie.  Forgive me.  It was only over a week.  But it is true that it was difficult.  I got pretty sweaty, too.  Every morning I hang my running clothes over the shower curtain rod so they'll dry out and not contaminate the rest of the dirty clothes.  This morning while I was sitting on the toilet and leaning over to, well, you know, I was getting dripped on.

Time - 26:57 (avg. pace 8:58)

Splits - 8:59, 8:54, 8:59

Gross.

Eric sometimes puts his shirt through the swim-suit spinner at the gym because it's so sweaty. Maybe he wears it into the shower first. I'm not sure.

I've been so hot and sweaty lately that I simply get into the shower with all my running gear on (shirt, shorts and shoes), rinse them all off and then hang them out to dry.

Ha ha Burt...You didn't know I was stalking your Blog did you? You haven't heard from me lately :-)

From Burt on Mon, Jul 18, 2011 at 17:30:29 from 206.19.214.144

Catherine - I'm going to call him the Sweaty Ghost from now on. Gross!

IJR - Tell me you're joking. I've thought about hosing off before I go in the house, but how would I get through the house naked?

From I Just Run on Mon, Jul 18, 2011 at 17:34:28 from 67.79.11.242

That's a scary thought :-)

From catherine on Mon, Jul 18, 2011 at 18:42:44 from 98.202.112.51

So - just to clarify - I found out that Eric rinses his shirt thoroughly before he puts it in the spinner.

RAD - I know dainty little girls like you don't sweat. Or poop.

Squirrel - I think Bonnie found it pretty funny. Bonnie, the not so evil ringleader.

A shower while sitting on the toilet. An interesting concept. welcome back to the running world. How was the weekend of camping?

From Chad on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 10:13:20 from 168.177.153.27

I'm traumatized.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 11:22:48 from 72.223.88.109

Dale - Camping was great. There were no showers ergo I didn't get any runs in. I suppose I could have sweated on myself.

Chad - Hypnotic therapy. It's your only hope.

From Sue on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 14:19:25 from 63.248.41.148

Suddenly I don't feel so well.

From julieesplin on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 14:40:18 from 75.169.174.174

My sister who lives by you has used "the heat" as a reason for not running much the last three years. Apparently she just needs to sweat more.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 15:24:47 from 206.19.214.144

Sue - sorry you don't feel well. I hope it's only a 24-hr thing. You've got a big run with Merri tomorrow that you need to be ready for.

Julie - I'll teach her how to sweat.
