My legs were so heavy today.  Try as I may to run through it, it wasn't happening.  So I cut my run a mile short.  When I got home I could feel my lower back tightening up.  I probably slipped another disc.  No pain, no gain.  Sweat levels were pretty high.  As I was stretching out I played a game with a tiny black ant.  I would try to bomb it with drops of sweat.

Time - 35:20 (avg. pace 7:52)

Splits - 8:37, 6:43, 8:23, 7:43, 3:55

So did you manage to bomb the ant?

From Burt on Wed, May 04, 2011 at 12:16:09 from 72.223.90.79

I had about a 30% hit rate.

one day luke skywalker and darth vader were sitting at luke's desk, but luke could not get comfortable because his leg was keep hitting the draw of his desk. so darth vader spotting this asked luke why doesn't he shut the draw? luke replied that he had his collection of oversized letters of the alphabet in there and that he couldn't shut it becasuse he had too many of the letter U. darth vader then said: luke force the Us!

Was it a successful bombing mission?

Hope your back feels better.

Hey Burt,

Nice run today. I especially like the Mile 2 and 4 Split.

From Burt on Wed, May 04, 2011 at 21:59:04 from 206.19.214.144

Chris - Force the Us. hahahaha! I get it. Use the force! Force the Us. It took me all day.

Dale - The back is feeling a little better. Thanks.

PRE - Great job on your marathon. Now I just have to find time to read your report.

The mile 2 split really stands out. Way to surge! You should play that game with a whole colony of ants.

From Burt on Wed, May 04, 2011 at 22:44:13 from 206.19.214.144

April - Is that your way of telling me I sweat a lot?

From Brent on Thu, May 05, 2011 at 07:57:41 from 168.178.30.219

Burt, expect an ant hill to come after you, revenge. Always good to sweat like a dog, makes you really feel your out of shape or got a great workout?

Stay Kool, B of bS rools out

From flatlander on Thu, May 05, 2011 at 10:33:02 from 76.31.26.153

Your legs felt heavy because you were surging all the time. Some serious splits in there, good job.

From Steam8 on Thu, May 05, 2011 at 11:31:01 from 166.70.55.77

Looked like a great run to me! I do hate the days it feels like you are running with 100 pound stubs as legs. I wish I was out running right now!

From april27 on Thu, May 05, 2011 at 14:41:32 from 165.138.243.1

hope the back feels better

From RAD on Thu, May 05, 2011 at 16:15:36 from 98.202.17.113

you know what I do when my legs feel heavy and tired? I slow down :)

Nice work speedy, sweaty guy!

From Burt on Thu, May 05, 2011 at 16:20:47 from 206.19.214.144

Brent - You mess with one ant, you mess with the whole colony.

Mark - Nah. I should have been able to run faster than that.

Steam8 - Is that your real name? I wish you could run right now, too.

April - It is feeling a lot better.

RAD - that's cuz you're a smart runner. I'm a nincompoop.
