Total Distance

I went to some uncharted territory for me this morning.  I did not like the new route, and I'll tell you why.  At the corner of Gilbert and Broadway I had to run past the day laborers.  I know they were checking me out.  Those pervs.  Then a half a mile later this lady made a left hand turn without stopping for me.  I yelled at her and let her know that she wasn't a very good driver.  Then a half mile later this guy made an illegal right hand turn.  There are two signs posted that say NO TURN ON RED.  I yelled at him three times, but he still turned.  What a ghetto.

Time - 1:02:19 (avg. pace 8:29)

Splits - 8:20, 8:26, 6:58 (surge), 9:03, 8:48, 8:53, 8:52, 2:59

Mizuno Wave Inspire 7 Miles: 7.35
Weight: 197.00

Ghetto Fabulous you mean! Maybe the day laborers were checking out your Ghetto Onion as you ran by.....

From Carolyn in Colorado on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 13:37:12 from

It sounds like it was your day to chew people out.

From Burt on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 13:57:57 from

Funzo - It looks so good, it makes me want to cry.

CinC - I'm going to chew you out for saying that I'm stalking Nan! Cyber stalking. Get it right!

From RAD on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 18:03:11 from

Stupid drivers! I'd yell at them too, but I'm usually too tired.

From runningafterbabies on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 19:35:51 from

Did you have your shirt off?

From Burt on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 19:43:53 from

RAD - Aren't all the drivers in Utah just friendly and courteous?

RAB - You wish I did!

You need a whistle to direct traffic while you run. It might also come in handy if your onion is ever taken hostage.

From PRE on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 22:07:24 from

Nice splits though. New territory - thinking about doing some new routes myself. Need to come up with some good routes for Longs. Hope all is well with you and your family.

From Burt on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 22:43:44 from

QP - Protect that onion at all costs.

PRE - Good to hear from you. There's only so many times you can run the Stonehenge loop.

The East Valley used to be such a nice place.

From Burt on Thu, Mar 17, 2011 at 00:48:42 from

allie - I get banned from a lot of things, huh?

Flat - It still is. But when you head further west like I did, you get into Browntown Mesa. I mean downtown!

From april27 on Thu, Mar 17, 2011 at 12:41:07 from

From Burt on Thu, Mar 17, 2011 at 12:58:46 from

True...but what a great name for the route!

From Rye on Fri, Mar 18, 2011 at 09:40:23 from

Nice to see that you were in such a good mood! Nice surge in mile three... Must have been after one of the encounters.

From Burt on Fri, Mar 18, 2011 at 11:33:55 from

Rye - maybe I had bird flu.
