Well, I woke up late yesterday but planned on running that afternoon.  Some time around 1pm my neck and shoulder on the left side (trapezius muscle) started to hurt.  This isn't the first time.  I don't know if I moved wrong or what.  But when I finally left work at 5pm it was a very slow and painful bike ride home.  Last night I was able to sleep but I never moved from my right side.  I ended up waking up real early and mopped the kitchen floor.  That hurt, too, but it's not quite as bad as yesterday.  Anyway, I'm not going to run today either.  I'll just read the Book of Mormon instead.

So that video I linked you to really sparked some interest, huh?

Maybe you shouldn't mop the floor anymore, it's always a pain in MY neck!

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:02:20 from 206.19.214.144

Yes RAD. I think I'm going to convert. Will you baptize me?

From runningafterbabies on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:45:20 from 71.195.219.247

Sounds like you need a good deep tissue massage.

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:52:07 from 206.19.214.144

You think so Melody? How good of a friend are YOU?

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:54:33 from 66.239.250.209

Muscle relaxers. Not only will it help the muscle pain, but it will make the BofM reading more enjoyable too.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:57:26 from 66.239.250.209

Reminds me of a funny story (at least to me). I had back surgery in 2001 and I was on muscle relaxers for a while and I taught a Sundee school lesson completely ripped on muscle relaxers. I have no idea what I said. Everyone seemed to enjoy it though. Good times.

Any type of housework causes me pain! In fact, I better get to it instead of wasting my time on FRB! I wish my floor was mopped! :(

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:58:05 from 206.19.214.144

Scotty - (I didn't mean to type Scotty and was about to go fix it, but decided to leave it.) Do you think it's from sitting at my desk all day with my arm in the same position? On my keyboard? Anyway, hallucinatory drugs and the BOM sound like a great combo.

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 13:58:48 from 206.19.214.144

Amy, if I know you, you won't start the house work until 2pm.

From Steam8 on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 14:06:38 from 166.70.55.77

If I am going to wait until 2..why do it at all? I already have a house full of kids, so what is the point anyway?

From SlowJoe on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 14:30:30 from 132.3.53.68

Hope it feels better soon. I clicked on your link but it was blocked here at work. What exactly is in the Book of Mormon anyway??

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 14:46:16 from 206.19.214.144

Joe - That link isn't for the Book of Mormon. It's for that crazy guitar strumming thing on Google's home page. If you want to know more about the Book of Mormon, you better ask RAD.

From GoBeth on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 15:54:15 from 98.206.41.184

I'm sorry to hear about your pain! Make sure you don't try to overcompensate for one side by holding the other side of your neck/back tight and making it worse. This happened to me once and was the worst pain I ever experienced- worse than breaking my nose. My back was a mess. I tried Skelaxin, a muscle relaxer, but it did little good. I hope you're feeling better asap.

From Chad Robinson on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 16:21:50 from 67.136.62.186

Thats what happens when you don't give Chuck Norris the proper respect. You are lucky it is just the left side.

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 17:16:48 from 206.19.214.144

Beth - Thanks! Sounds like good advice, and I am feeling a teensy bit better today.

From Lily on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 17:29:50 from 67.199.178.210

I think I know how to make it stop hurting...

From Burt on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 17:38:05 from 206.19.214.144

How's that, Lily? Chop my head off? Kick me in the shin so that hurts worse?

From runningafterbabies on Thu, Jun 09, 2011 at 23:52:50 from 71.195.219.247

Good enough to recommend my chiropractor. He's awesome.

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 00:02:30 from 174.110.223.249

My husband is laying next to me asleep right now, while I'm worried about all the housework I need to do. I'm going to jab some sharp needles into his neck and back, and see if that'll get him to mop my kitchen floor for me.

Wish me luck!

From Burt on Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 01:45:43 from 72.223.90.79

Good luck QP! Sometimes you just make me laugh so hard.

1st & 2nd books of nephi, jacob, enos, jarmon, omni. words of mormon and mosiah in the book of mormon.

From Burt on Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 14:45:15 from 206.19.214.144

Chris - do you have perfect pitch? I just started strumming away and that's what I came up with.

From Steam8 on Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 14:49:34 from 166.70.55.77

Thanks Merri! Now I am going to have that song in my head ALL DAY!

From ChrisM on Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 15:26:32 from 86.27.11.169

not sure about perfect pitch but I think maybe playing violin you either learn relative pitch or stop playing it

From julieesplin on Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 22:08:24 from 75.169.168.237

I paid my kids to rub my legs last summer, maybe for a few bucks you can get one of them to work on your back.

From PRE on Sat, Jun 11, 2011 at 14:53:46 from 99.50.214.225

Hi Burt,

Hope you are feeling better. Google got rid of the guitar strumming thing. You lost about 50 pounds it looks like. I am still on board with Nancy R (until next Monday)!

Oh, I just figured out by clicking the link that the guitar strumming thing is a doodle. Google replaces them often I guess.

From Kim on Sat, Jun 11, 2011 at 19:42:45 from 67.199.180.90

Hey Burt....I think you gave me a comment and then retracted. What in the world could you have said that you felt like you had to delete? I don't think you've ever done that before! :)

From Burt on Sat, Jun 11, 2011 at 21:48:08 from 72.223.90.79

Wasn't me Kim. Maybe Kelli hijacked my blog.
