We got a little rain yesterday and last night.  You'd think that would cool us down big time.  But I still went out in just a body armor shirt and a tank top.  Well, that's not all I was wearing, but you know what I mean.  I enjoyed the nice damp smell in the air, except when I run by these certain bushes that smell like urine when they get wet.

I started watching the movie Australia over the holiday weekend.  When I saw that it was almost three hours long I almost passed a bowel movement with mortar.  But I loved it.  One of the best movies I've ever seen.

Time - 48:32 (avg. pace 8:38)

Splits - 8:34, 8:32, 8:26. 8:45, 8:50, 5:25 for 0.62 (8:45 pace)

So did you start watching the movie but not finish it since it was so long?

You sure had a lot of potty talk in your post today, Burt. Do you have toddlers at home?

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 12:30:44 from 71.219.71.229

So what is the temperature???

Nice run, you must be feeling good.

I thought Australia was a very ODD movie, and very long.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 12:51:00 from 12.231.112.98

Carolyn - sorry about the potty talk. Must be one of those days. I do have a toddler. Hopefully I can get her potty trained before she's 5. I started watching the movie Friday and finished it Saturday.

Kelli - Right now it's 60. I imagine it was a few degrees cooler earlier. What was ODD about the movie? I can understand you not liking Nacho Libre. So what kind of movie do you like? Twilight?

From Bonnie on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 12:59:40 from 128.196.228.134

It was in the 40s down (up in elevation) here Burt -- snow in the Catalinas -- and possible snow in the Tucson Mountains (where I live) later today ... I love this time of year here.

From Nan Kennard on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 14:32:57 from 174.51.250.151

Australia was too long for me. We watched Nacho for the second time last weekend. I think that movie becomes even more funny the more you watch it. My favorite clip:

a bowel movement with mortar sounds fun.

From auntieem on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 14:53:41 from 67.182.145.8

Australia was long, but I really loved it. I'll add it to my list of movies to rent for doing stationary biking.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 14:55:47 from 12.231.112.98

Bonnie - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Nan - Darn it! They put the youtube blocker back up at work. Remind me to watch it when I get home.

Merri - (it's a nicer way of saying something else.)

From Burt on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 14:57:32 from 12.231.112.98

auntieem - With as long as it is, I couldn't run a marathon in that amount of time. But there are plenty of bloggers that could...

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 17:49:59 from 71.219.71.229

Nope, Twilight was AWFUL!!!!

Australia was just kind of weird, that is all. The whole thing with the boy and stuff, I do not remember it very well. I just remember that I thought it was kind of an odd movie!! It was also TOO long.

I liked Star Trek.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 18:15:22 from 12.231.112.98

Star Trek was good.

From Eric Day on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 18:25:16 from 200.77.34.18

Movies and potty talk, lovely. Must be in the wrong blog...

From Burt on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 18:27:18 from 12.231.112.98

Yeah right Eric. You know you're right where you belong. Besides, you're El Rey de potty talk.

From Eric Day on Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 18:31:15 from 200.77.34.18

Sorry Burt, don't want to take away your title this time. Keep it. =)

You know you ran more miles this month than I did?

Looking good Burt !

Space Balls was great

Run faster without Kevlar Body Armour

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

Recovered from the marathon? What is your next quest?

From Burt on Tue, Dec 01, 2009 at 13:02:22 from 12.231.112.98

Brent - I'm pretty much bullet proof without the kevlar anyway. I'm about 90% recovered. There's still some tightness in my legs below my calves. Next quest I guess is Ragnar.

From James W on Tue, Dec 01, 2009 at 17:57:51 from 12.151.72.1

Try strange brew - there's a classic! Doing good for having just run a marathon . . .

From Burt on Tue, Dec 01, 2009 at 18:05:12 from 12.231.112.98

That is a good one James. My favorite part is when they get separated for the first time and the one that goes with the guy tries to be overly macho while the one that goes with the girl just lets all his emotions out. Hope you had a good time in Texas.

From Kelli on Tue, Dec 01, 2009 at 18:28:12 from 71.219.71.229

I like when they get stuck inside the brewery things and have to drink up all the beer to save their lives. See, I know some movies.

From Nan Kennard on Tue, Dec 01, 2009 at 20:51:07 from 174.51.250.151

Ahhh Strange Brew is a classic! That was the first movie I ever watched with Aaron. I came to find out later he was testing me to make sure I could make it through such a lame movie before he decided he liked me.

From Burt on Wed, Dec 02, 2009 at 00:19:31 from 98.177.216.165

Aaron is smart. However, that's about as romantic as my IHOP story. I guess I can't say anything though. The first movie Vickie and I went to was Galaxy Quest.

From James W on Wed, Dec 02, 2009 at 01:08:41 from 70.212.178.93

Never give up! Never surrender!

From Kelli on Wed, Dec 02, 2009 at 10:21:26 from 71.219.71.229

The first movie Scott and I saw was Boyz in the Hood. That should have been a warning.

From Mich on Sat, Dec 05, 2009 at 13:28:50 from 216.119.176.166

Congrats on your Nov. 21 marathon!
