This is the first time since I joined the blog that I've got 30 miles in a week.  And I still have two days to go!  I'm sure I have before, but shortly after joining the blog, I sustained some freak injuries.  So blogging was kind of embarrassing for a while, but I stuck with it.  I don't want to up my mileage too quickly, but I am, so I'm taking it nice and slow.

I saw one lizard today and named it Eric Day.

ha ha ha !!!

It must of been a superb, in great form, fast, good looking, strong, very smart lizard to be named after me.

Thanks Burt. =)

PS, 30 miles, man, you are building mileage!

Burt,

You're cranking out the miles.

From sam on Thu, May 28, 2009 at 14:32:10 from 90.201.147.244

Burt DUDE---- mileage is great well done and the pace fantastic...when your building mileage like base miles the pace will come in a few weeks even...

When Im building mileage I do it in weekly plans, say 4 weeks of increased mileage approx 10% THEN THE 5th week a recovery week, 6th week back to the 4th week mileage then 7th week increase again so its like a 5week thing and the 5th week is always a recovery week.

Can you understand that???

Oh and ta for the instructions for the photos, but tried it with my flickr account and it didnt work ??? man what am I doing wrong, and I cant find your original instructions... :)

Eric - I named all the bunnies I saw yesterday after Sam, so I thought it fitting to name the lizard after you. I know you're a good sport.

Vis - Didn't you have a caricature of an old man sleeping in a rocking chair as your profile pic? So, two questions: Is that you in the picture, and are you wearing a Barcelona jersey?

Sam - Thanks for the advice. I know I'm jumping up more than 10% of my overall weekly average, but I was only averaging 20 miles a week. So, hopefully 40(?) miles this week won't be too much of a stretch.

Good job on the weekly milage Burt. I've run 3 miles this month. :(

Nice job increasing mileage without injuries!

I laughed so loud at the lizard comment!

I forgot to tell you that you have a clone here in DC, I run into him (literally) on the mall all the time. Do you have a twin brother?

From Burt on Thu, May 28, 2009 at 23:28:49 from 74.33.10.240

Rhett - that cracked me up, but I feel bad for you.

Lucia - that's my way of defending your honor since I can't beat Eric in a race.

From Burt on Sat, May 30, 2009 at 17:44:01 from 74.33.10.240

Plenty of foxy ladies on the blog. Now if it was a male fox, it would have to be Montelepsy because he is so sly.

From Kelli on Sat, May 30, 2009 at 19:15:56 from 71.219.98.183

Very smart to up it slow, you are a smart guy! And great job this week Burt!

How on earth do run in 91 degrees without dying?

From Burt on Mon, Jun 01, 2009 at 00:08:57 from 98.167.151.26

Kelli - maybe I am dead.

Paul - to answer your question - Walter Brown.

From Kelli on Mon, Jun 01, 2009 at 13:53:05 from 71.219.98.183

Well that explains it!
