This morning I found myself lost.  Lost in my own little world.  I'm usually worried about what pace I'm running or what I'm going to blog about.  But this morning I kind of woke up and said, "Wow.  I'm just running for running's sake."  The cutest part of the morning was when I said good morning to this old Mexican lady.  She replied back, "Gooth modneeng sird."

Time - 40:16 (avg pace 8:03)

Splits - 8:13, 8:10, 8:16, 8:12, 7:27

Temp - 89 (as usual)

AM Bike Ride

Distance -17.49 miles

Time - 1:15:51 (I stopped and helped a lady who was having car trouble.)

Avg Speed - 13.8 mph

Max Speed - 19.9 mph (It was windy on the way to work, so hopefully it doesn't shift during the day, and it will push me home.)

So, I'm sitting there counting prairie dogs on my way to work.  It was a slow day for prairie dogs (18 total.)  11..........12...........13..........snake.........SNAKE?!?!?!  This crummy little snake was slithering along next to the curb.  I immediately lifted my legs up to avoid being bitten.  Then I realize what a little girl I'm being and seeing that it had no rattle, I try to redeem myself and go back and catch it.  But it slinked into a catch basin.

PM Bike Ride

Distance -17.44 miles

Time - 59:43

Avg Speed - 17.5 mph

Max Speed - 22.7 mph

Temp -108

Because I lost so much time when I stopped to help a lady in distress this morning, I set my Garmin to automatically stop when I stop.  I also set it to record mile splits.

Splits - 3:27, 3:24, 3:23, 3:22, 3:11, 3:14, 3:35, 3:23, 3:42, 3:25, 3:16, 3:16, 3:15, 3:16, 3:23, 4:04, 3:19, 1:44  (Interesting note: my max speed occured in the same mile as my second slowest mile.)

Steve - I don't know if I helped any. I basically ended up telling her to drive really slow and hopefully she'd reach her destination.

Em - ...and I didn't take one sip of water.

April - I hadn't thought that far ahead. First things first.

Merri - don't be jealous.
