Kind of cool out today in my tank top and body armor.  I'm thinking Ragnar might actually be cold this year.  But there won't be any snow pelting us in the face, that's for sure.

Good job, looks like you plan on staying under that 200lb mark.

From Burt on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 12:44:19

Yep. The plan is to get down to 190.

From sam on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 16:50:03

Great on the weight Burt, and your new pic is cool!

keep the training up ;-)

From Teena on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 01:33:43

190 before you know it!!

Nice work!! ARe you serious??? a 6:29 mile??? You're on fire!

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 10:58:45

Teena - I wish! That was my time for the last 0.83 miles which was a 7:47 average. Maybe there's a better way to write that because you're not the first person I've confused.

It's actually the day after tomorrow, but you still get major points for remembering :)

Thank you!

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 11:28:52

Oh yeah. It is. Because today's the 19th. Stupid Outlook reminders, reminding me too early. :)

From kungfublonde on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 13:31:48

two people have said that outlook shows my birthday as the 20th AND the 21st. I feel obligated, therefore, to celebrate both days.

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 13:43:04

Well there you go. Let's all celebrate. Besides, for all you know your head could've come out on the 20th and the rest of you on the 21st.

From kungfublonde on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 13:55:28

I was born at 9 pm on the 21st. So I sure hope it didn't happen that way!!

But don't worry, I celebrate for at least a week :)

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 15:36:14

Cake for two days, sounds good to me. I will be right over!

Okay, Burt, I have to fins a way to find you in AZ. What is the name of your team? Are you gonna be all decked out in costumes (you should be, that would make it easier for me to find you)? Will your van be decked out? And just exactly what do you mean by cold, really? I have to pack and plan, and i just have no clue what to run in! I am thinking to me it will feel warm and i should run in a bikini (KIDDING)!!!!!!! Seriously, I have to run at 2 pm, midnight, and 10 am. How HOT will it be?

Great run today Mr Speedy, losing weight, freak of nature!

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 16:14:45

Kelli - I was just thinking the same thing. We are team #83 Dessert Runners. I'm thinking about cutting out pictures of desserts in magazines and taping them to my van. But I don't know what scotch tape will do to it. I'm sure we'll see each other out there somewhere. We only start an hour after you so usually you see everyone within 4 hours of your start time at the major exchanges. I'll definitely be looking for you.

From Burt on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 16:40:27

Kelli - It's hard to say. I wouldn't be surprised if it rained. When it does rain here, it's generally on the weekends. So you might want to pack some sweats and some rain gear. You could wear your bikini at night. No one will notice. The first year this girl wore one of those full body suits skin colored and with all the anatomy painted on. It was kind of embarrassing because we had a member of a stake presidency on our team.

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 18:37:43

Well, I have never worn a bikini in my life, so why start now??? My sister called this afternoon to warn me that the weather is going to be cold (like 60). You Arizonians do not know cold! Then she said, "Well, it goes into the 40's at night and that is cold for running, isn't it?" I laughed at her. That is still near bikini weather!!!

I will pack some pants and a long sleeved running shirt becasue I am probably gonna jinx myself with all of this warm weather smack talk!

I wonder where I can find a full body skin suit so I can embarrass some people????
