Inspired by Marion:

The picture on the left was taken in Jan. 2007.  The picture on the right was taken Mar. 2007.  I lost 42 lbs. in 8 weeks when my work did a biggest loser contest.  Naturally, I won and to the victor went the prize of $450 big ones!

I should go on another diet.  I haven't lost any since, but now that I'm exercising all the time I am maintaining the weight loss.  I've heard each pound you lose is equivalent to 5 minutes faster for a marathon.

AWESOME pics Burt! You ROCK!!! What a handsome guy :D That is AMAZING!

They say that everypound is 30 seconds off per mile too. Your 1/2 and marathon goals are exactly the same as mine! We are twins in neighboring states!

GREAT JOB BURT!!!!

GO BURT GO!!! That is awesome, and a ton of weight in such little time! And to get money on top of it, perfect icing on the cake!!

From montelepsy on Sun, Oct 26, 2008 at 12:48:17

You probably have displaced fat weight with muscle weight with all the exercising you do. Keep resisting roadside treats!

Good one, Mike.

From Camille on Mon, Oct 27, 2008 at 09:34:02

Okay... I work with Burt, and I can tell you, he totally kicked butt on that Biggest Loser competition! He went through quite a transformation! It was awesome. Then he started running and has kicked butt ever since!

Mike, you crack me up! :o)

Burt - you rock. Are you in the mood for a Otter Pop, because I think we should celebrate. Tell me what flavor you want and I'll stick it in my secret freezer.

Translation of Camille's comment: Burt was a big fat slob.

While I can't argue with that, I will thank you for remaining my friend. You see, Camille lost some weight around the same time, and I told her she no longer looked like a butterball. Somewhere in that statement was supposed to be a compliment, but she's never forgiven me.

From Camille on Mon, Oct 27, 2008 at 11:25:17

Heck no I haven't! Calling someone a butterball is *NOT* a compliment. Even if you are telling them that they aren't a "butterball anymore". Dude! I'm taking back my Otter Pop!

...but you don't even like the blue raspberries...come on!!!
