You made that second mile your "BEEYATCH"!

From Seth on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 12:49:36 from 199.188.28.8

Nice pick-up on the second mile! Are you running the Wasatch Back Ragnar this weekend?

From Steam8 on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 12:56:29 from 166.70.55.77

Haha Derunzo, that was funny! Way to Whip it Burty!

From Burt on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 13:26:00 from 206.19.214.144

Derunzo - I don't understand you young folks these days.

Seth - Nope, not this year.

SteAMY8 - Before the cream sets out too long, you must whip it.

From Chad on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 13:32:49 from 168.177.153.138

Chad - Yeah, but it's nice to have my sweat back.

Trap - thanks, and it's not even Wednesday.

From Derunzo on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 15:16:18 from 98.229.131.173

37 years young and old enough for DEVO

crack that whip

give the past the slip

step on a crack

break your momma's back

when a problem comes along

you must whip it

before the cream sits out too long

you must whip it

when something's going wrong

you must whip it

now whip it

into shape

shape it up

get straight

go forward

move ahead

try to detect it

it's not too late

to whip it

whip it good

when a good time turns around

you must whip it

you will never live it down

unless you whip it

no one gets away

until they whip it

i say whip it

whip it good

Well, I know what song is going to be in my head the rest of the day! thanks Trap and Derunzo for that!

From Burt on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 18:57:08 from 206.19.214.144

It's such a feel good song.

From Derunzo on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 19:07:27 from 98.229.131.173

It was my first piece of music... no lie. I had "Whip It" on 45. My mother ran a daycare out of our house, and the other kids and I would ROCK OUT!!!!! Ahh..... record players.

From Burt on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 19:15:51 from 206.19.214.144

Mine was Hot Legs by Rod Stewart. I also had MacArthur's Park as sung by Donna Summers.

Is it ok to say my first tape was Ice Ice Baby? No? didn't think so, I'll leave now

From Steam8 on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 21:06:03 from 166.70.55.77

You are a youngster JOE! My first record was Madonna....Like a Virgin! haha! I loved that tape. No records here!

From Steam8 on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 21:06:27 from 166.70.55.77

Wait, wait, I take it back. It was Thriller by MJ. Yep!

From SlowJoe on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 21:42:20 from 184.79.24.255

Well, Vanilla Ice was 6th grade, it was just the first tape I actually owned. My neighbor had the long version of the Thriller video on VHS and we'd always go over there to watch it. Love me some Thriller!

From seeaprilrun on Thu, Jun 16, 2011 at 21:54:26 from 174.70.177.86

Nice sub 7 in that heat. I don't do sub-7 over 90 degrees. Very impressed. Too embarassed to say what my first tape was.

From DaleG on Fri, Jun 17, 2011 at 02:47:23 from 152.216.7.5

My first tape was Men at Work "Cargo"

My second tape was Huey Lewis and the News "Sports"

I still have them. I also have them on CD. Good stuff.

From Burt on Fri, Jun 17, 2011 at 02:49:41 from 72.223.90.79

Our first tapes were Jam On It - (everyone who was anyone had that tape), Jan & Dean - (the album with Little Old Lady From Pasadena and Dead Man's Curve), and a mix tape of old timey classics such as Palisades Park, My Boyfriend's Back, and The Wanderer.

Okay April, now if that's not embarrassing, you can for sure tell us yours. Unless of course it was 2 Live Crew.

From ChrisM on Fri, Jun 17, 2011 at 08:14:19 from 86.10.81.85

The first cassette tape I had was from The New Seekers, with I'd like to teach the world to sing, Beg steal and borrow, georgy girl etc...

I think I played it too much and it got eaten by the machine

From seeaprilrun on Fri, Jun 17, 2011 at 08:14:49 from 174.70.177.86

Burt--Suicidal Tendencies, "How will I laugh tomorrow when I can't even smile today"--act of defiance...my parents weren't happy about it.

From DLTheo on Fri, Jun 17, 2011 at 09:21:09 from 76.28.161.119

Whip It was one of the first songs I remember being familiar with. A friend a couple houses down had the 45. My first cassette was Billy Joel, The Stranger. Still have all my old cassettes, and a car that can play them!

From Dan on Fri, Jun 17, 2011 at 11:49:05 from 24.209.83.20

Wow Im with DL- Whip it was one of the first songs I had lots of fun with. I have to go find my Devo glasses....

From baldnspicy on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 00:57:42 from 72.77.101.46

First 45 was Another One Bites the Dust...won it at a church dance.

Burt, I was running in 95 degree weather lately...oh wait, 59 degrees. Sorry, dyslexia got me.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 01:44:33 from 75.196.89.196

BNS - You won a Queen record at a church dance? Seriously? That is too funny :)

From Burt on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 02:34:01 from 72.223.90.79

That reminds me of a joke my uncle on my mom's side told my dad about Magic Johnson.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 03:08:04 from 24.22.239.183

Well, are you gonna tell us the joke?

From Burt on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 11:52:42 from 72.223.90.79

Oh right. The joke. I can't tell it. It's not family-safe. But it was something like MAGIC stands for my something got something coach. The best part was my dad didn't even laugh. He just stood there and looked at my uncle. Go dad!

From baldnspicy on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 12:19:22 from 72.77.101.46

So...ur dad didn't get it?

What makes me winning the Queen single so funny is that it was at a Mormon dance...and Z100 - the local radio station paid to DJ it wasn't allowed to play certain songs/artists. Queen was one of the forbidden.

Just to be clear, I won it in a raffle not for my white boy moves. Joe - ain't no shame in Vanilla Ice being your first album. I love Ice Ice Baby and embarrass my children every time I play it on my ipod and sing along to every word. Too bad he had such a rough upbringing and got shot in the butt.

Since my post isn't long enough already, I was watching some reality show with D list actors/stara on it where he was one of them. He actually is a pretty respectable guy. Made me like him even more.

From Burt on Sat, Jun 18, 2011 at 16:52:25 from 72.223.90.79

No. My dad's just not into jokes about homosexuality. Speaking of homosexuality, maybe Vanilla Ice and Eminem can hook up.
