Hey Burt.  Remember that time you told yourself to get up earlier so you could go running earlier?  YOU FAIL!  At least it was only 97° this morning.  Also, stop eating so much ice cream at night.  Just because you got it at the 99 cent store doesn't mean you should eat as much as you did!

Time - 26:50 (avg. pace 8:53)

Splits - 9:03, 8:42, 8:53, 0:12

Glad you got some cooler temps. You probably felt like you needed a sweatshirt today.

If you skip dinner, you can eat as much ice cream as you want. Remember that tonight.

From DaleG on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 13:53:08 from 76.27.13.205

You probably have to eat so much ice cream because it'll melt.

Nice run

From Burt on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 14:00:25 from 206.19.214.144

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Eat all the ice cream before it melts. Got it.

From SlowJoe on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 14:03:09 from 132.3.53.68

Ahh, 97. For a minute I thought the ice cream was 97 cents and the temperature was 99. Can you imagine if that were true?? Either way, your reasoning for eating so much is valid.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 17:38:27 from 24.18.125.122

Hey Burt, 4am is the best time to run.

From Burt on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 17:46:02 from 206.19.214.144

Joe - 97 cent ice cream??? Only in my dreams!

Trap - God's not even awake by then.

From Bonnie on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 18:12:24 from 70.59.246.46

I just want to point out that the HIGH up here in Flagstaff (at a mere 7500 ft) is 84F ... I need a fleece pullover! And, I can run as late in the day as I want, and it still doesn't feel hot!

From Burt on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 18:42:05 from 206.19.214.144

Bonnie - Everytime I had a race in Flagstaff in high school it was like running in a dream. You know the dream where you're running as hard as you can and you're not getting anywhere? That dream.

From Bonnie on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 18:45:50 from 70.59.246.46

Ha ha ha! I know the feeling! But it is COOL!

From Tracy on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 18:53:25 from 173.24.38.54

Is that the dream where you're running just as fast as you can? Are you trying to get away into the night?

From Burt on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 20:20:18 from 72.223.90.79

Yep Tracy. And we're holding on to one another's hands. And we're trying to hide under our desks at school because we suddenly realize we're naked.

From artichoke on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 00:06:14 from 24.2.95.164

Great splits for 97 degrees!

From Burt on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 00:59:53 from 72.223.90.79

Thanks Choke! I had a friend who told me he was running this morning at 4:30am. I told him I would pass. Now I'm wishing I had gone with him.

From Steam8 on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 10:42:45 from 166.70.55.77

Hey Burt! You're hot! :)

From Burt on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 11:06:52 from 206.19.214.144

Steam is hot! Not me.

From Steam8 on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 11:17:03 from 166.70.55.77

I will be hot! I have to run at 10 with my nephew today. 90 degrees and 13 miles....actually, I won't be hot, I'll be sweaty and stinky! yuck!

From Britta on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 11:53:58 from 99.120.40.103

I always tell myself when I am running in CA heat... it could be worse I could be runnin in AZ heat. OK I would be affraid of eating ice cream purchased from the 99 cent store.

From Merri on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 15:52:45 from 160.7.252.148

sup?

From Leandra on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 16:39:36 from 71.37.96.118

Are you sure it wasn't 98 Degrees the band?

From Burt on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 16:41:54 from 206.19.214.144

Never heard of 'em, Lani.

From Leandra on Fri, Jul 01, 2011 at 16:46:47 from 71.37.96.118

You probably didn't have room to let them into your life, what with all the n'sync posters plastered on your walls.

From RAD on Sat, Jul 02, 2011 at 01:20:07 from 98.202.17.113

Burt, wake up earlier. Don't eat ice cream from the 99 cent store. (just reinforcing your own reprimands)

If you're going to eat ice cream - make it worth it! Buy the good stuff and enjoy. It might just cool down your internal body temp enough to get you through sleeping in!

From The Quiet Pirate on Sat, Jul 02, 2011 at 09:35:32 from 174.110.223.249

If you eat enough ice cream from the 99 cent store, you'll be up all night with some digestive illness, and 430 am will feel like a relief when you can get up and get off the toilet.

From Burt on Sat, Jul 02, 2011 at 13:43:21 from 72.223.90.99

It was Breyer's ice cream!
