Day 18 P90X

Yoga X

I fell asleep on the couch last night, so I didn't do Yoga like I should have.  But I got up this morning and did it.  I'll double it up and do Legs and Back tonight.  I feel great now, but there was a time when I was trying to do the balance postures, and I couldn't.  So I got upset and kicked a box.  Is it bad to lose your cool during a Yoga session?

What will the yoga gods think? Isn't yoga supposed to be spiritual and stuff?

From allie on Fri, Apr 23, 2010 at 13:36:37 from 67.177.0.102

box-kicking is bad karma.

From Burt on Fri, Apr 23, 2010 at 13:44:41 from 206.19.214.144

Scott#1 - Yep. You have to remove yourself from the worries of every day life. I totally did it wrong.

Scott#2 - I must have gotten confused with kick-boxing.

From Rhett on Fri, Apr 23, 2010 at 17:56:33 from 74.32.222.202

I'm sure it is terrible karma, but it made me laugh and helped take some the the stress away from my day which may reverse the bad karma to good karma.

Did you forget to breathe? That was probably your problem.

BTW, I'm so glad that you told me that all I have to do to find your blog is to click on my list of favorite blogs!! Now I no longer have to try and remember how to search for you. Much easier this way.

From Toby on Fri, Apr 23, 2010 at 23:34:37 from 216.194.124.36

Way to loose your coolio Burt! What happens to you during the intense workouts?

From Kelli on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 00:21:41 from 71.219.75.178

Namaste, Burt.

From missy on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 01:23:19 from 75.162.124.171

What was in the box?

From Burt on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 02:28:06 from 98.177.220.145

Just blankets Missy. I'm very careful on what I take my aggression out on, unlike certain wives of mine who break windows.

(I'm dead when she reads this.)

From baldnspicy on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 09:12:41 from 72.95.170.250

No worries, Burt. Yoga makes me angry too. I can't balance for the life of me. One of the drawbacks to being a stud, eh?

From missy on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 14:25:39 from 75.162.124.171

Burt I never knew you had a thing for Cacti! :)

From missy on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 14:48:36 from 75.162.124.171

Baldy..you and Burt need big wide feet like mine so you can balance better. :) Burt is partial to my feet..

From missy on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 14:52:26 from 75.162.124.171

Blankets...Oh, can't really hurt those unless you try and rip them huh? Lol.

From Burt on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 15:34:45 from 98.177.220.145

You've got the best feet Missy, for a hobbit.

From seeaprilrun on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 17:33:25 from 72.205.231.223

Yoga and violence, it's just wrong. but funny! I want the window-breaking story now!

From missy on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 22:28:43 from 75.162.124.171

I've got more than hobbit feet. I have a hobbit appetite:

"They would enjoy at least seven meals a day, when they can get them – breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner and (later in the evening) supper. They were often described as enjoying simple food—such as bread, meat, potatoes, tea, and cheese—and having a particular passion for mushrooms."

Burt, did you forget you were doing Yoga and not Kenpo?

From Burt on Sun, Apr 25, 2010 at 13:03:42 from 98.177.220.145

Missy - you're dad really was Tolkien, wasn't he?

Melody - Yep. That was it. I totally forgot. Had a moment of un-clarity.

From missy on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 23:03:20 from 71.32.194.28

Um I think he wrote a 2000 page doctoral dissertation on the linguistics in Tolkien's works. And he has an honorary doctorate from the Tolkien Society, and probably in the back of his mind He wishes he WAS Tolkien..haha. Don't tell him I said that.
