Another easy run today.  I kept thinking about how fast I was getting before this injury.  Hopefully I'll recover quickly.  I saw Kline Adams this morning and we stopped and talked about the High Priest social tomorrow.

One hummingbird this morning.

I like easy runs. I'm not so sure about high priests. Just kidding.

From KP on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 11:28:40 from 65.208.22.26

What's a high priest? :)

From Nevels on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 11:32:13 from 131.204.15.93

to avoid sounding sacrilegious and offending someone, i'll just say:

*INSERT STONER CLERGY JOKE HERE*

Good one Nevels. High priests are basically the old men in our church, or men that have served in bishoprics. Believe it or not, I was a first counselor in a bishopric. At the time I wasn't old, but I am now.

One of these days you've got to blog about Burt's Bees.

From missy on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 12:45:05 from 65.100.213.241

I wouldn't ask Burt what a high priest is..it could get scary..mwa ha ha ha! Oh, just kidding. Hey Burt I'm wondering about your Hammy prob, but I have to go for now..I will ask you about it later..Remind me.

From Burt on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 12:46:01 from 206.19.214.144

Whoah Paul! Look at that. We both commented at the same time 12:44:32.

Are you talking about my world famous lip balm?

From Burt on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 12:48:47 from 206.19.214.144

Okay Missy. I remember you asked how long it was hurting me before, but I was in a hurry and couldn't answer. Then I forgot where it was that you asked, so I never got back to you. But to answer that question, basically it's been hurting for a while, more after the last marathon I did. But now that I've incorporated some really good speed work more consistently in my routine, it's gotten worse.

From flatlander on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 13:03:13 from 198.207.244.102

Burt, that isn't it. As a high priest, I think Paul wants you to tell us about the Burts and the Bees. (Sorry, that one was too easy.)

From Burt on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 13:07:44 from 206.19.214.144

Bah-dum-ching!

From flatlander on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 13:09:33 from 198.207.244.102

Hey, at least I apologized! And now I am promising never to do it again.

From SlowJoe on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 14:40:03 from 184.79.24.255

Good to see you're getting some miles in anyway. I heard those high priest socials get wild!

From CookieLegs on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 14:46:44 from 155.101.152.105

Yea - you're getting some miles in! Keep 'em slow, keep 'em coming, and keep on stretching!!! Oh, and thank you so much for sending some sunshine up our way! :)

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 19:21:38 from 66.239.250.209

High Priest Social= Partying waaay too much. Ease up there Burt. You know what hard living will do to you?

From Burt on Fri, Apr 09, 2010 at 19:24:32 from 206.19.214.144

We put a deposit down on the club house where we're going to have it. I hope we don't get too wild so we get it back.

Adele - you got some of my sunshine? Mother Nature must be feeling better.

From missy on Sun, Apr 11, 2010 at 13:41:29 from 65.100.213.241

Well Burt, that is quite the bummer. No pun intended.

With my hamstring, at the top of the muscle where it connects to the hip it has been irritated. A trainer suggested that it is an overworked overlong muscle, due to an anterior pelvic tilt. The solution has been to stretch the opposite muscle, the hipflexors, actually. I have had great improvement so far.

Your case might be different of course. I found this little article that explains what my prob is a bit. I figure any info that you get on hammy probs will eventually help, by at least process of elimination.

Good luck Burt.
