probably swine flu. All the hipsters are getting it these days. So do you ride your bike to work?

From Mike Warren on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 12:04:08 from 207.50.149.221

No running lately? Any injuries or just mixing it up?

From Burt on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 12:21:00 from 68.76.197.194

Leandra - Couldn't be. I'm not hip. I'm trying to ride my bike to work 3 days out of the week. I just have to take it easy so I don't arrive at the office dripping in sweat.

Mike - I did wreck my bike last week, annd that kept me from running for a few days. Then I got sick. So hopefully I'll be back at it soon. I don't want to lose too much fitness. I'm already gaining some major weight.

From Snoqualmie Ridge Runner on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 13:42:54 from 71.35.172.186

Major Weight...I knew that guy a few years ago. Don't miss him a bit :-)

From Rhett on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 13:46:21 from 170.215.58.122

Mixing in a bike ride is probably just what the doctor ordered. The lack of sweat is probably from the desert air.

From Kelli on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 14:26:20 from 71.219.76.64

Maybe it is because you weigh zero pounds?

From Merri on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 14:36:13 from 207.88.76.69

yeah it's never healthy to weigh 0 lbs

From Metcalf Running on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 15:13:52 from 207.225.192.66

I hope you get feeling better.

From Burt on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 15:16:02 from 68.76.197.194

I told you I was dead, Kelli. My spirit's mass is rounded down to zero. Actually, the only time I weigh myself (and post it) is after my runs. Since I haven't run for a while, no weight posting. But I did weigh myself the morning after Father's Day...208! You'll never guess what I had for dinner.

From Kelli on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 15:47:36 from 71.219.76.64

Steak and potatoes and root beer floats?

From Burt on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 15:48:52 from 68.76.197.194

Almost. Chili dogs and root beer floats :)

From Kelli on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 15:49:28 from 71.219.76.64

Chili dogs are not all that heavy, Burt!

From Burt on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 15:52:41 from 68.76.197.194

BTW Rhett - Not sweating is a good thing on the way to work. Right now I'm really working on altering my body chemistry so that my musk mimics the smell of roses. Until I have it down pat, avoiding human interaction and dodging people in the hallway works pretty good.

From Bonnie on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 16:04:40 from 128.196.228.134

Burt, I am lucky that I have access to a secret shower here at work - but CVS carries these CVS brand "washclothes".

I keep a package in my desk for those "don't have time to shower" mornings.

I am glad you are feeling better. Titus is too ... soon you both will be angering some lizards again.

From Burt on Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 16:28:05 from 68.76.197.194

Bonnie, that's a great idea, but in order for that to be really effective, I would have to bring a change of clothes, which means wearing a backpack, which means sweating like a dog. But I guess that would be all right because I have a change of clothes and CVS brand "washcloths." I'm the dorky guy everyone sees riding down the street on a blue bike with a blue helmet, red shirt, and pant leg tucked into his sock. And I'm OK with that.

"Sweat Levels"

Only you!!!!

Nice job on the bike ride. :)

From Eric Day on Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 12:51:57 from 189.192.28.192

I agree, sweat levels could only come from Burt...

Hope knee is doing better!

From sam Dean-Howard on Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 14:51:48 from 90.201.147.163

Oh Burt your so funny, sweat levels, well alls I can say on that matter is in the heat we have over here at the moment, which Im not used to, sweat level more like a shower LOL.

From Bonnie on Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 14:53:22 from 128.196.228.134

I love the sweat levels -- Sam, I did not know you were posting your weight. Your picture makes you look like the PERFECT weight (and your race times do too ;-) ).

From Brent on Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 22:28:16 from 66.7.127.219

Burt, chili - super powered Burt - the 24 mph, give it to the chili. With all the biking you are ready for a du or tri.

Stay Kool, carry a sweat bucket, B of BS Rools out

From sam Dean-Howard on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 09:53:00 from 82.132.139.14

Bonnie it's not often I reach my race goal but I'm on the way this time.... The reason is if I dint eat enough I run weak! But then I stay the same weight it's hard to gauge with the amount of mileage I'm doing! My goal weight is approx 133/134 lbs I'm 5'9. But then again Paula Radcliffe is 5'9 & weighs in at 128lbs ! My husband hates it if I go under 139 ? :-)

thanks for the compliment tho :-)
