My daughters still go to school in our old neighborhood because that is where Emily's special education program is.  Emily rides the short bus to school, but we have to drive Abby and Katelynn.  So, I had my wife drop me off there, too.  I asked my daughters if they were going to be embarrassed when I got out.  "You're getting out??!!??"

Ha! I'm sure they were mortified! Great job dad.

From SlowJoe on Wed, Aug 27, 2014 at 07:30:13 from 168.215.171.129

I hope you immediately took your shirt off and started doing laps around the school.

From Burt on Wed, Aug 27, 2014 at 08:30:07 from 174.17.221.237

I would have, but that wouldn't help with the buttprint challenge.

From flatlander on Thu, Aug 28, 2014 at 12:48:52 from 198.207.244.102

It's the ears that bother them, I think.

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Sep 02, 2014 at 14:48:51 from 73.39.16.197

You're a great dad! Nice play.

Next time get out in the short shorts that the elites wear. Maybe spice it up with a tank top and a head band. They will love that.

From DaleG on Mon, Sep 22, 2014 at 23:26:03 from 50.168.232.48

Hey Burt, how's it going? Hope everything's ok.

From Nan on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:17:08 from 50.183.126.167

Why you no more bloggie Burtie?

From Burt on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:29:16 from 174.17.252.196

Oh, sorry, guys. I still love you all. I'm going in to see a surgeon tomorrow about having a benign tumor removed from my abdomen. At least, I hope it's benign. Thanks for checking in! I'll let you know :)

From Nan on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:34:57 from 50.183.126.167

Wow. Thanks for the update. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Surgery is never no big deal.

On the bright side, maybe they'll find it is not benign or malignant. Maybe it'll be something cool like a cantaloupe or a watermelon. Did you swallow one too many seeds lately? We can hope.

From Burt on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:35:51 from 174.17.252.196

It probably wasn't a see. More like the whole thing :)

From flatlander on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:39:43 from 198.207.244.102

Take care, friend, and stay away from fruit.

From Burt on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:42:58 from 174.17.252.196

Someone once told that to Eve. And look what happened!!!

From flatlander on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:45:07 from 198.207.244.102

I know, what a mess.

From SlowJoe on Wed, Sep 24, 2014 at 13:54:05 from 168.215.171.129

Good luck tomorrow Burt, all the best. I hope you get to keep it as a souvenir once they slice it out.

From Burt on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 20:21:12 from 174.17.252.196

The surgeon said the same thing my family physician said. It's a lypoma. Not cancerous. The surgery is scheduled for next week. It started hurting again because he was poking around on it so much.

From Nan on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 20:46:18 from 50.183.126.167

Phew! So when they take it out, we can make fun of you for getting lypoma-suction!

From Burt on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 20:51:34 from 174.17.252.196

Nan!! I may just come by and slip it in your drink one of these days. That reminds me of the time I threw my bloody gauze in my sister's ice cream when she was making fun of me for not being able to eat any after I got my wisdom teeth pulled. But I guess you would be right to make fun of me. I have a friend that got contact lenses implanted into his eyes, so now I make fun of him for having implants.

From Nan on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 21:09:03 from 50.183.126.167

Hey you can make fun of me too. I just got braces this week. Seriously. For the second time in my life.

From Nan on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 21:10:04 from 50.183.126.167

On a positive note, these braces should protect me from sipping any lypo-whatevers from my drink.

From Burt on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 21:11:45 from 174.17.252.196

Awesome! Please put your hair in a side ponytail and post some pictures.

From Nan on Thu, Sep 25, 2014 at 21:14:43 from 50.183.126.167

Um no. I will be avoiding camera closeups for about six months. Thanks though.

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Oct 03, 2014 at 10:07:51 from 73.39.16.197

Burt,

How'd it go? Hope you are feeling better and out harassing people on the streets again soon.

From Burt on Fri, Oct 03, 2014 at 19:10:56 from 174.26.202.117

The surgery was a success. I am now 2.5 oz. lighter. Nan, you should be receiving a package in the mail any day now. Thanks for checking on me, QP. Hopefully I can be running within a week.
