I got another free new pair of shoes for volunteering 3 times at the Adventure Run.  It's been a while since I've gotten some.  I had to quit volunteering right around the time they started only letting you get New Balance shoes.  Luckily, they now let you get New Balance, Mizuno, Asics, and Brooks.  I picked up a pair of Mizuno Trail running shoes and wore them today.  They're fine, but they pick up a lot of small pebbles in the treads of the heels.  Wouldn't you think a pair of trail shoes would not want to pick up pebbles?  Oh, well, the Mizuno road shoes have a tendancy to pick up large stones in the arch.  Still, they're the most comfortable shoes to me.  Have a great week everyone.  Thanks for making me #1 on the charts, and #1 in your hearts.

That's cause you're, you know, friendly.

I've wondered about that rock picker upper in those shoes. I keep waiting for them to fix the design flaw. I guess the folks who make them like collecting rocks. I would prefer a shoe that picks up money.

I heard those kind of shoes wear out after 2.06 miles, so make sure you only run a few meters next time.

Figures. I get what I pay for.
