We've been getting some nice rain for the last few days.  Early this morning it was still cloudy, but I didn't run while they were out.  Instead I waited until it was 10am and headed out into the heat.  Oh well.  I had stuff to do.  I passed one lady and asked her why we waited so long to go running.  In her mind she said, "Because we're idiots."  I decided only to do 2 miles, but I felt great like I could've easily done three times that amount.  But because it was so late, and hot, and I hadn't eaten or dinken anything yet I stuck with the 2.  I don't think my shoes have any cushion in them.  My heart told me to throw them away when I got home even though I'd be breaking a solemn promise to get 800 miles in them.  But they were hurting my feet so bad running on the rocky path.  I decided to keep them and just run on the sidewalk with them from now on.

Just another 91 miles of searing foot pain, then you can lay those shoes to rest. You can do it!

I'm glad I'm not the only idiot running in the heat! ;)

That, allie, is why you're not on my list anymore. Hmph!

Dinken is the adverbial perfective preterite participle (twice removed) of the word dronked. It's basic English.
